Jetragon changed spawns in Palworld 1.0. The old volcanic boss arena at Mount Obsidian no longer holds the Legendary Dragon, which is why returning players who fly to the western coast come up empty and assume the Pal was removed. It was moved, not deleted, and it still appears as a fixed Alpha encounter rather than a random spawn.
Quick answer: Fly to the Sunreach Island (Sky Islands) region and travel to coordinates -553, -1332. Jetragon appears there as a Level 60 Legendary Alpha boss the moment you approach the platform.

Jetragon coordinates in Palworld 1.0
Head toward the southwestern part of the sky island chain and watch the coordinate readout as you close in. Because Sunreach sits well away from the original landmass, navigating by numbers is far more reliable than following landmarks from pre-1.0 maps.
| Detail | Value |
|---|---|
| Region | Sunreach Island / Sky Islands |
| Coordinates | -553, -1332 |
| Encounter type | Fixed Legendary Alpha boss |
| Level | 60 |
| Element | Dragon |
| Paldeck number | #202 |
Older coordinates like -789, -321 and -790, -320 point to the previous Mount Obsidian spot north of the Beach of Everlasting Summer. Those belong to earlier versions and should not be used in 1.0. If Jetragon is not visible when you arrive, confirm you are at the new coordinates first, then adjust your altitude and circle the platform in case you landed above or below the boss marker.

Add to Google Preferences →How to reach Sunreach and the boss platform
Sunreach is a late-game sky region, so a ground route from the volcanic area will never bring you close. A flying mount or the Wing Pack is the only practical way in. Prepare before you leave, because the trip is long and there is no quick restock once you are out over the islands.

Note: Repair your weapons and pack food before leaving base. Reaching the coordinates only to find a nearly broken weapon forces an extra return flight to an encounter that already sits far from the early map.
What to bring for the Jetragon fight
Jetragon is a Dragon-type with a very high Attack stat, so getting there is only half the job. Dragon is weak to Ice, which makes your strongest Ice attackers the clear elemental pick. Do not rely on a low-level Pal that simply has the right type, because the level gap punishes underleveled parties more than the type bonus rewards them.
| Loadout | What to bring |
|---|---|
| Damage type | Your most developed Ice Pals or Ice attacks |
| Weapons | A strong ranged weapon plus a backup; Rocket Launcher for its stun |
| Armor | High-tier armor at full durability |
| Spheres | Your best spheres, with extras |
| Support | A Pal with a healing Partner Skill |
| Supplies | Food, healing items, and repair-ready gear |
Ranged weapons let you pressure Jetragon while repositioning around its attacks. Rocket Launcher hits can also open windows through their stun, but every shot should be timed rather than fired on reflex. A healing Partner Skill softens the cost of a missed dodge, since Jetragon’s damage can chain one mistake into several while your health and shields are low.
Attacks to watch for
Jetragon mixes Fire, Dragon, and Neutral moves, with wide projectiles and beam attacks being the most dangerous. Keep moving and dodge the big skills rather than trading damage into them.
| Attack | Element | Behavior |
|---|---|---|
| Spirit Fire | Fire | Fireballs that explode and spread smaller ones forward |
| Dragon Burst | Dragon | Close-range burst around Jetragon |
| Flare Storm | Fire | Two flaming tornadoes launched at the target |
| Dragon Breath | Dragon | Continuous breath damage in front of it |
| Beam Comet | Dragon | Exclusive beam attack while flying forward |
| Dragon Meteor | Dragon | Multiple meteor projectiles |
| Meteorain | Dragon | Meteor attack that creates shock waves |
| Star Mine | Neutral | Stars spawn near you and explode on contact or delay |
How to beat and catch Jetragon

You know the capture worked when Jetragon disappears into the sphere and registers in your Paldeck as #202. If it dies instead, the run drops late-game materials, so the trip is not wasted.
Jetragon drops
| Drop | Amount / Chance |
|---|---|
| Soralite | 10 (100%) |
| Thermal Core | 1–2 (100%) |
| Diamond | 1 (30%) |
| Large Pal Soul | 1 (1%) |
Jetragon saddle and Missile Launcher level
Catching Jetragon does not instantly give you its flying-mount utility. Jetragon’s Missile Launcher saddle unlocks at Technology Level 79, so a fresh character will need another flyer for the trip to the spawn and for a long stretch afterward. Once unlocked, craft it at the Pal Gear Workbench or Ancient Workbench.
| Item | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Jetragon’s Missile Launcher | Technology Level 79 |
| Crafting station | Pal Gear Workbench or Ancient Workbench |
| Materials | 70 Leather, 60 Paloxite Ingot, 24 AI Core, 210 Paldium Fragment |
With the saddle equipped, Jetragon’s Aerial Missile Partner Skill lets you fire missiles while mounted, and it stands as one of the fastest flyers and an SS-tier combat Pal. Until you hit Level 79, your first Jetragon is most valuable as a fighter and a future mount unlock rather than an immediate replacement for your current flyer.

Breeding a second Jetragon
Jetragon can be bred, but the only combination that produces one is Jetragon + Jetragon. That means the Alpha capture at -553, -1332 has to come first. After that, breeding is the route to cleaner passives, better IVs, or a stronger Dragon attacker without repeating the sky-island fight. For a first copy, though, there is no shortcut around catching the boss.
