All Pete Motif Locations for the Picture Pursuit Mickey Quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley

The Picture Pursuit: Mickey quest sends you hunting for four small Pete Motifs, and unlike most scavenger hunts in the event, this one splits across two buildings instead of one. You’ll snap two symbols inside Mickey’s house and two inside Goofy’s house, then head back to Mickey to claim the reward.

Quick answer: Photograph the Pete Motif on Mickey’s bed and on the side of his fridge, then the one on Goofy’s bed and the one on Goofy’s couch pillow. Return to Mickey once the tracker reads 4/4.

How to start the Picture Pursuit: Mickey quest

The Picture Pursuit event triggers one character quest per day at random, and Mickey is one of the possible characters. To begin his hunt, talk to Mickey Mouse when he has a quest marker above his head. He’ll ask you to find four hidden Pete Motifs, and the objective tracker will start at 0/4.

The target symbol is a small blue Pete image tucked onto furniture. It doesn’t matter whether your character appears in the shot, so long as the motif is clearly framed in the camera. If the quest never appears for you, close and reopen the game or wait for the daily reset, which is usually around 5 AM local time.

All four Pete Motif locations

Two motifs sit inside Mickey’s house and two inside Goofy’s house. Open the camera at each spot and frame the blue symbol until the tracker ticks up.

Inside Mickey’s house

Enter Mickey’s house and turn to your left to find the bed. The first Pete Motif is printed on the blanket. Aim the camera at it and take the photo to move the tracker to 1/4.

Walk straight toward the back wall, then turn slightly right to face the kitchen. The second motif sits on the side of the fridge nearest you. Photograph it for 2/4.

Inside Goofy’s house

Head into Goofy’s house and go straight to the back wall. Turn right and look down at the bed to spot the third Pete Motif on the blanket. Snap it for 3/4.

Walk forward until you reach the fireplace, then turn left to face the couch with yellow Mickey and Minnie cushions. The final blue Pete Motif is on the middle pillow. Photograph it to reach 4/4.

Finishing the quest and claiming the Pete Motif

Once all four photos are taken, the objective updates to send you back to Mickey. Talk to him to complete the quest and receive a Motif Bag. Open it from your inventory and select Use to unlock the blue Pete Motif for Touch of Magic.

You’ll know it worked when the full-screen unlock graphic for the Pete Motif appears and the Picture Pursuit: Mickey quest shows as complete. If the tracker is stuck below 4/4, one photo didn’t register, so revisit that house and reframe the symbol more clearly before returning to Mickey.

Completing this hunt also counts toward the event duty that rewards the Pure Cinema Photo Frame after five Picture Pursuit quests. Since a different character triggers each day, the remaining motifs come from other hunts like Merlin’s Walrus symbols in the Dream Castle and Alice’s Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum symbols in Wonderland.
