Where the four bosses appear, which ones need special conditions, and what defeating them gives you.

Bosses in Purgatorio are the toughest enemies your office will run into, with far larger health pools and their own attack patterns compared to standard foes. Most of them show up as the payoff for a major request, so the first time you meet one it can end a run quickly if your team is underprepared.

Quick answer: There are four bosses right now. Head Rat and Butcher appear as major request fights when your office is due to promote, while The Wraith and Claw Executioner only spawn once specific conditions are met.

How bosses appear in Purgatorio

Purgatorio is a co-op action RPG where you and up to three other players run an office in the city, taking jobs and requests to earn money and experience. Completing enough of those jobs eventually triggers a major request, which is usually an order to take down a difficult boss.

Clearing that major request promotes your office. Promotion unlocks harder jobs and buffs for your whole team, so the boss fight is the gate between one office grade and the next. Because of that, most boss encounters are tied directly to progression rather than being optional side content.

Note: A couple of bosses break this pattern. Instead of arriving with a promotion, they only appear when your run meets a set trigger, which makes them easy to miss if you don’t know what to look for.

Bosses with special spawn conditions

The Wraith and Claw Executioner do not turn up as part of the normal promotion cycle. Both require certain in-run criteria to be satisfied before they will appear, which is why some players finish multiple runs without ever seeing them.

Head Rat and Butcher, by contrast, are the reliable major request fights. If your office is close to a promotion, expect one of these to be the wall standing between you and the next grade.

Rewards for defeating bosses

Beating a boss does two things. Completing a major request promotes your office, which opens up harder jobs and team buffs. On top of that, certain bosses drop valuable loot, so there’s a reason to take on the ones with special conditions even after your promotion is secured.

Since these fights carry unique movesets and heavy damage, a first attempt is often about learning the patterns rather than winning outright. Come back with better weapons, augments, and auxiliary abilities before trying to push through. You can jump into a run and start working toward your first major request on the official Purgatorio Roblox page.
