Blood Hunt, the co-op PvE mode in Marvel Rivals, is no longer wrapping up at the end of July. NetEase has pushed its lifecycle deep into autumn and stacked on a harder Nightmare ceiling, fresh loot, and reworked gear tools in the July 23 update (version 20260723).
Quick answer: Blood Hunt now runs until October 9, 2026 at 9 AM UTC, and the Nightmare difficulty cap moves from Floor 160 to Floor 300.

New Blood Hunt end dates
The mode was originally scheduled to close on July 30. That deadline is gone. The core Blood Hunt event and its Double XP window now run on separate timers, so plan your grinding around the earlier of the two if you want the extra experience.
| Event | New end time |
|---|---|
| Blood Hunt mode | October 9, 2026, 9 AM UTC |
| Blood Hunt Double XP | October 5, 2026, 9 AM UTC |

Add to Google Preferences →Nightmare cap raised to Floor 300
Nightmare difficulty previously topped out at Floor 160. The update lifts that limit to Floor 300, giving high-level squads far more room to climb before the ladder ends. Nightmare stays locked until you clear Normal, Hard, and Extreme first, so the higher ceiling only matters once you have worked through the earlier tiers.
There is also a one-time bounty tied to the deeper run. Clearing Floor 260 with any hero, including Blade or The Punisher, awards up to 100 Units. The reward is limited to one payout per hero, so switching characters lets you collect it again.
Gear enhancement, refining, and the Dew of Insight drop
The gear system gets two concrete tools for shaping a build. Enhancement lets you upgrade existing gear to reach higher stat bonuses, and refining lets you reroll specific stats on a piece so it matches the loadout you want. Together they make it easier to target the exact rolls needed for tougher encounters against Dracula and Kingpin.
A new rare item, the Dew of Insight, now drops from enemies during combat. Using it grants an instant EXP burst to any hero of your choice, which speeds up leveling on whichever character you are pushing through the mode.
| Change | What it does |
|---|---|
| Gear Enhancement | Upgrades existing gear to unlock higher stat bonuses |
| Gear Refining | Rerolls specific stats to fit a custom hero build |
| Dew of Insight | Rare enemy drop that grants an instant EXP boost to a chosen hero |
How to confirm the changes are live
The July 23 patch is a minor update with no server downtime, so you download it and rejoin without waiting. Once you are in, the extended timer shows on the Blood Hunt event screen, and the difficulty selector lists Nightmare floors up to 300 rather than stopping at 160. If the counter still reads a July end date or Nightmare caps at Floor 160, the client has not applied version 20260723 yet.
Blood Hunt first arrived in Season 7.5 as the game’s second PvE mode, tasking teams of one to four players with cutting down waves of vampires and bosses to save New York City. The extension keeps that grind open well past its original close, giving players months more to chase the deeper floors and refine their gear before the changes settle into the season.
