The Last Rose is an S-rank Liquid Arc in Neverness to Everness built around damage-over-time playstyles. Its skill, Bohemian Rose, converts DoT hits into stacking CRIT DMG and can hold enemies in their Broken state longer, which makes it a specialist tool rather than a general-purpose weapon.
Quick answer: Equip The Last Rose on Lacrimosa. As long as she applies DoT, she builds Chaos Thorn stacks that raise her CRIT DMG, and her damage extends any Broken enemy’s vulnerable window.

Bohemian Rose effect and how Chaos Thorn works
Bohemian Rose gives a flat ATK boost and layers on a stacking buff called Chaos Thorn. Each time the wearer deals DoT damage, they gain one stack, and every stack adds CRIT DMG for 3 seconds. The buff can trigger at most once every 0.3 seconds and caps at 10 stacks, with the duration refreshing whenever a new stack lands.
Casting a Redirect Skill grants all 10 stacks instantly, so you can reach full CRIT DMG in one action instead of ramping up over time. On top of that, damaging a Broken enemy extends their Broken state by 3 seconds, limited to once per Break Effect. That gives DoT characters a longer window to land hits while the target is vulnerable.

Refining the Arc raises both the flat ATK bonus and the CRIT DMG granted per Chaos Thorn stack. The trigger rules, stack cap, and Broken extension stay the same across all levels.
| Refinement | ATK bonus | CRIT DMG per stack |
|---|---|---|
| R1 | 14% | 6% |
| R2 | 17.5% | 7.5% |
| R3 | 21% | 9% |
| R4 | 24.5% | 10.5% |
| R5 | 28% | 12% |
At R5 with all 10 stacks active, the CRIT DMG bonus reaches 120%, on top of the 28% ATK increase.

Base stats by level
The Last Rose carries CRIT Rate as its substat and tops out at level 80. ATK climbs steadily through each breakthrough, while CRIT Rate stops increasing after level 70.
| Level | ATK | CRIT Rate |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 37 | 9.6% |
| 20 | 154 | 12.0% |
| 30 | 227 | 14.4% |
| 40 | 301 | 16.8% |
| 50 | 374 | 19.2% |
| 60 | 448 | 21.6% |
| 70 | 522 | 24.0% |
| 80 | 570 | 24.0% |
Best character for The Last Rose
The Last Rose is Lacrimosa’s signature Arc and the strongest option for her. Her kit continually applies DoT, so she keeps Chaos Thorn near or at full stacks, converting the buff into a large CRIT DMG pool. The Broken-state extension also pairs with her damage rotation, giving her extra seconds against vulnerable enemies.
Note: no other character uses this Arc’s full benefits the way Lacrimosa does. If you do not own her, the effect goes largely to waste, so there is little reason to chase it.

How to get The Last Rose
The Last Rose was distributed through the Nocturne Special Arc Research Program, which arrived with the V1.1 Dreamwalk Corridor update. It was the featured S-class Arc for that program and had no alternative acquisition method. As of now, there is no confirmed date for its return.
| Detail | Info |
|---|---|
| Banner | Nocturne Special Arc Research Program |
| Availability | June 3, 2026 – June 24, 2026, 5:59 (UTC+8) |
| Currency | Tri-Keys |
| Pull type | Limited Issue (10 Arcs of random quality per pull) |
| Unlock requirement | Complete “Prologue: A New Destination — Head to Eibon Antique Shop” |
The pity system guaranteed any S-class Arc within 6 pulls and the featured The Last Rose within 8 pulls. All Limited Issue pulls share one Arc pity counter, and that pity is permanent. Progress carries over between Limited Issue programs, so counts built up in earlier banners such as Bright Moon Special still applied here. You can review program terms in-game under Arc Shop, then Arc Research Program.

Breakthrough and ascension materials
Raising The Last Rose to level 80 takes six breakthrough stages, each unlocking a higher level cap and costing Fons plus Appleseed and Whisper materials.
| Stage | Unlocks | Fons |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Lv. 30 | 20,000 |
| 2 | Lv. 40 | 40,000 |
| 3 | Lv. 50 | 60,000 |
| 4 | Lv. 60 | 80,000 |
| 5 | Lv. 70 | 100,000 |
| 6 | Lv. 80 | 120,000 |
The full cost to reach level 80 is 420,000 Fons plus the materials below.
| Material | Total needed |
|---|---|
| Iron Appleseed | 14 |
| Lost Whispers | 14 |
| Silver Appleseed | 18 |
| Obscure Whispers | 18 |
| Golden Appleseed | 18 |
| Paradoxical Whispers | 18 |
Taken together, The Last Rose rewards a very specific setup. On Lacrimosa it turns steady DoT pressure into stacking CRIT DMG and longer Broken windows, but outside her kit those advantages disappear. Weigh that narrow fit before committing Tri-Keys or ascension materials to it.
