Vanellope von Schweetz spends most of her time in the Valley complaining that a life simulation is too slow for her. Her Level 4 friendship quest, Ready Player Fun, is where she finally asks you to prove the place can be exciting. It runs through your normal gameplay loop and then chains into two quick minigames she invents on the spot.
Quick answer: Mine three gems, catch five fish, and plant and harvest thirty crops. Then find Vanellope hiding inside the Vitalys Mines (right at the first fork, left at the second), race her out, and catch three fish within three minutes to finish the quest.

Before you start Ready Player Fun
This quest sits at Level 4 of Vanellope’s friendship track, so you need to have her living in the Valley and raised to that level before it becomes available. Keep her set as your active companion for the whole quest. She boosts your friendship gains while she tags along, which is the fastest way to reach the higher-level quests in her chain.

Vanellope wants a tour of your daily routine, so the first objective is a short checklist of the core activities. None of these have to be done in a specific spot, and you can knock them all out in a single lap around the Valley.
| Task | Amount |
|---|---|
| Mine gems | 3 |
| Catch fish | 5 |
| Plant and harvest crops | 30 |
The thirty crops is the slowest part, so use a fast-growing seed and plant them in one dense patch to speed up the harvest. Keep Vanellope out with you the entire time to squeeze extra friendship points from the errand.

Win the hide-and-seek minigame in Vitalys Mines
Once the loop is done, Vanellope suggests hide and seek. She sends you into Scrooge McDuck’s store while she runs off to hide in what she calls the darkest, most dangerous spot in the Valley. Three villagers know where she went.

Beat the extreme fishing timer
After the race, Vanellope proposes her final minigame: extreme fishing. The goal is to catch three fish in three minutes. It sounds tense, but it is the easiest part of the quest.
There are three fishing spots lined up right next to you in the river. Cast at each one in turn and you can reel in all three fish inside a single minute, well under the timer. Any fish counts toward the total.

How you know the quest is done
Ready Player Fun wraps up as soon as you land the three fish within the time limit. The quest closes out and Vanellope’s friendship progress ticks up, clearing the way for her next storyline. Note: keeping her as your companion through all of this means you will likely reach the next friendship level much sooner, so there is no reason to swap her out until the quest is finished.
