Fortnite: How to Get Spider-Man’s Web Shooters and Their Locations

Spider-Man’s Web Shooters are back in the Fortnite loot pool for the first time in three years, arriving alongside the film Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The Mythic mobility item lets you swing across the Chapter 7 Season 3 map, and it works for any player no matter which skin you’re wearing.

Quick answer: Interact with a Spider-Man’s Backpack webbed onto a wall or cliff anywhere on the island to claim the Web Shooters for free, or buy a guaranteed pair from the Spider-Man NPC for 2,000 Gold Bars at The Battlewoods. They only appear in unranked Battle Royale playlists.

Where to find Spider-Man’s Web Shooters in Fortnite

There are two ways to pick up the Web Shooters, and one removes all randomness. Spider-Man’s Backpacks spawn across the island, usually stuck to a vertical surface like a wall or the side of a cliff. Walk up to a backpack and interact with it to claim the item. If one sits out of reach, look for the cobwebs nearby that you can jump on to bounce up and grab it.

Because backpacks spawn at random, you may need to check a few spots before you find one. For a certain pickup, head to The Battlewoods, where the Spider-Man NPC always spawns and sells the Web Shooters.

Note: The Web Shooters are limited to unranked Battle Royale. They do not appear in Ranked matches, so competitive and FNCS players won’t run into them.

How to confirm you have the Web Shooters

After you open a backpack or buy them from the NPC, the Web Shooters drop into your inventory as a Mythic item. Backpacks can also release healing items when opened, so grab those while you’re there. As a Mythic-rarity utility item, the Web Shooters carry infinite ammo, so you can keep swinging for the whole match without running out.

How to use Spider-Man’s Web Shooters

Switch to the Web Shooters in your inventory slot so they become the active item.
Hold aim (right-click on mouse, or LT/L2 on a controller) and point at the surface you want to swing from, such as a tall building, a tree, or a player-built ramp.

Press fire (left-click, or RT/R2) to shoot a web at that surface and begin swinging toward it. The web attaches instantly rather than firing as a slow projectile.
Steer with your movement keys mid-swing, and fire another web at a surface ahead of you to chain swings together and cover ground faster.
If you come in low to the ground, your character keeps momentum and runs along the surface instead of stopping, letting you flow straight back into another swing.

Tip: You can also aim the Web Shooters at floor loot and fire to pull items toward you on the move. That’s handy for grabbing a Mythic weapon or snagging loot an enemy dropped without breaking stride.

Why the Web Shooters are worth carrying

The main draw is speed. Aiming at tall objects like buildings and towers lets you travel long distances quickly, which is ideal for beating the Storm or reaching an Extraction Site to secure a Sprite. You take no fall damage while swinging, so even if you’re shot out of a swing, you won’t lose health on the way down. The item is also quiet, giving you a low-noise approach, though players with Visualize Sound Effects turned on can still spot you.

Spider-Man Web Shooters Hours event

As part of the Spider-Man: Brand New Day crossover, a limited Spider-Man Web Shooters Hours event runs on August 1, 2026. During these sessions, matches feature unlimited Web Shooters, more Spider-Man chests scattered around the map, and a boosted spawn rate for Cube Sprites.

The exact session times have not been officially confirmed, so no set clock time is locked in yet. The Web Shooters stay in the normal loot pool outside of the event, so you don’t have to wait for the special hours to start swinging.

Spider-Man’s Web Shooters first arrived in Chapter 3 Season 1 and return to Fortnite whenever a new Spider-Man film lands. For now, the fastest route to a guaranteed pair is the NPC at The Battlewoods, while backpacks reward anyone willing to scan the walls and cliffs for webbing as they loot.
