Ruler of the Skies (B4) landed in Pokemon TCG Pocket on July 30, 2026 as the eighth main expansion, headlined by Mega Rayquaza ex making its debut. Beyond the competitive shake-up, the set is packed with art-rare and full-art cards worth chasing purely for how they look. Here are the ten most striking pulls and what makes each one stand out.
Quick answer: The best-looking cards are Mega Rayquaza ex, Mega Metagross ex, Genesect, Swanna ex, Accelgor, Kricketune, Oricorio, Anorith, Vullaby, and the shiny Falinks. All of them come from the single Mega Rayquaza Pack.

The Mega Evolution centerpieces
Mega Rayquaza ex is the face of the set and one of its two immersive cards. The motion itself is simple, a zoom in and back out, but the artwork carries it. Base Rayquaza sits in the background while its Mega form dominates the front, giving the card a real sense of scale.

Mega Metagross ex does what the strongest Mega full arts do. It brings the whole evolution line into frame, with two Beldum, a Metang and a regular Metagross surrounding the Mega Evolution. All of them appear slightly hazy, as if they are past memories that show how far Metagross has come.

Full-art scene cards with a story
Genesect is one of the best cards in the whole set. At first glance it looks like it is pushing aside arcade machines, but a closer look at its posture makes the truth clear. It is chasing the person taking the “picture,” which gives the card a fun narrative twist.

Accelgor is a Pokemon based on a ninja, and its full art drops it into an alleyway in a grimy city, perched on top of some air conditioning units. The urban setting suits it far better than you might expect. Its Deck and Cover attack deals 50 damage and then shuffles Accelgor back into your deck.

Kricketune’s full art shows the bug performing as part of a group in what looks like an elegant venue, a real step up for a Pokemon best known for its “DELELELELE WHOOOOP” cry. Swanna ex takes a calmer route, framing a group of Swanna and a few Ducklett swimming across a forest lake, with the central Swanna holding its wings spread high.

Anorith rounds out the storytelling picks. After being revived from a Claw Fossil, this one now lives in a tank alongside the professor who resurrected it. The expression on its face suggests it is very happy about the arrangement.
Cute and shiny picks
Oricorio’s card stars its Sensu form, with several of them dancing across a moonlit sky. It is also a workable single-target attacker, dealing 50 damage for one Psychic Energy as long as you discard a card from your hand.

Vullaby captures a genuinely cute moment. Despite having wings, its small wingspan makes flight a struggle, and the card freezes the instant it leaps off a bench and flaps constantly just to stay in the air. Falinks earns its spot on the strength of its shiny form, one of the newer shinies to get a card here, and it grows stronger when you have another Falinks in play.

Where to pull them
Ruler of the Skies ships with a single pack design, the Mega Rayquaza Pack, so every card above comes from the same booster. The full set totals 233 cards, including a 155-card main set and its secret rares. A new guaranteed high-rarity feature also applies. Under certain conditions while opening a pack, your next pack from the same expansion is guaranteed to contain a 4-Diamond or higher rarity card, which helps when you are hunting these full arts and immersives.
If you want to see Mega Rayquaza in motion before committing your Pack Hourglasses, the official reveal trailer sets the tone for the whole set.
Between the Mega Rayquaza ex immersive, the memory-filled Mega Metagross ex, and a strong run of scene-driven full arts, Ruler of the Skies gives collectors plenty to aim for while the competitive crowd sorts out the new meta.
