100 Days at Sea Potions: Every Recipe and How to Brew Them

Unlock the Potion Table at Bonfire level 3, then brew healing, attack, defense, utility, and wacky potions with the full ingredient list.

Potions in 100 Days at Sea let you heal, hit harder, shrug off damage, move faster, and even teleport back to your raft. They are brewed at a dedicated station using three ingredients per recipe, and each one falls into a clear category with a specific effect. Below is everything needed to unlock brewing, the exact recipes, and where the ingredients come from.

Quick answer: Raise your Bonfire to level 3, craft the Potions Table with 5x Metal, 10x Wood, and 1x Goo, place it on an empty wooden floor, then drop any three ingredients into the cauldron and wait for the brew to finish.

Unlock the Potions Table (Bonfire level 3)

Brewing is locked behind the Potions Table, and the recipe to craft it only appears once your Bonfire reaches level 3. Gather your core survival items before spending materials on the table so you are not stuck without food or defenses while you experiment.

The Potions Table costs 5x Metal, 10x Wood, and 1x Goo. Once crafted, place it on any empty wooden floor on your raft, the same way you position other buildings. This station is where every potion in the game is mixed.

How to brew a potion

Craft the Potions Table and place it on an open wooden floor. Interact with the Recipe Book on the table to view the potion index and confirmed combinations.
Drop three ingredients into the cauldron. Any valid trio produces a proper potion, while random mixes tend to create a Wonky Potion with a goofy, temporary effect instead.
Steps to brew potions
Wait for the brewing process to finish, then collect your potion. You can either drink it yourself or throw it at a teammate to apply the effect to them.

Note: Only one buff from each potion category can be active at a time. You can stack buffs across different categories, but a second potion from the same category replaces the first.

Every ingredient and where it comes from

Recipes pull from five ingredient groups. Essences are the gatekeeper for most recipes, and they only drop from enemies on a chance basis, so expect to fight several before one appears.

Ingredient groupMembersHow to get it
EssenceHealing, Attack, Defense, Utility, WackyChance drop from defeating enemies; each enemy type can drop a different Essence
FoodFish Filet, Stew, Chowder, Fish Sandwich, Fish and Chips, Seafood Slice, Sushi, Crab Sticks, Shark Steak, Swordfish Steak, Buttered Bass, Cooked Bird, Calamari, Meat, Potato, Jar of Jelly, Lobster TailFish for them or pick them up around the map
AmmoPistol Ammo, Shotgun Ammo, Rifle AmmoLoot Containers on islands
Utility itemGas Drum, Big Gas CanLoot Containers on islands
MaterialMetal, Wood, GooMetal and Wood from Loot Containers; Goo from enemy drops or gathered Goo nodes

Which potions to brew first

Prioritize a small set that covers movement, survival, and income before chasing the novelty recipes.

  • Swiftness Potion for faster exploration between islands.
  • Greater Healing Potion to stay alive through tougher fights.
  • Power Potion II for a flat 40% boost to all damage.
  • Fortune Brew while farming loot for extra Doubloons.
  • Raft Teleport to instantly return home after wandering far or to escape a bad spot.

Every valid brew you discover is saved permanently to the Recipe Book, so you only need to work out a combination once. As you farm more Essence and clear more Loot Containers, your recipe collection grows and it becomes easy to re-brew the effects that suit each run.
