Splatoon Raiders: How to Unlock Every Outfit

All 39 looks, the exact conditions that unlock them, and where to swap your style at the hideout.

All 39 looks, the exact conditions that unlock them, and where to swap your style at the hideout.

Splatoon Raiders hands you a full wardrobe, but almost none of it is handed over for finishing the story. Outfits unlock as you hit specific milestones, from leveling up and upgrading tanks to clearing dungeons, scrapping weapons, and scanning amiibo. There are 39 to collect in total.

Quick answer: Clear the Scayl Buried Ruins raid on Erpp Island to enable outfit swapping, then open the Gear menu, go to Style, and select any outfit that is not greyed out. Every other look unlocks by meeting the exact condition listed below.

When you can start changing outfits

You cannot change your look the moment you start playing. Outfit swapping unlocks after you complete the Scayl Buried Ruins raid on Erpp Island. Until then, the Style menu stays locked and you keep your starting gear.

Once that raid is done, the full collection screen opens up and any outfit you have already earned becomes wearable. Outfits you have not unlocked yet appear greyed out, so the Style page doubles as a checklist of what is left to chase.

How to equip an outfit at the hideout

Press + to open the Gear menu.
Scroll right to the end of the menu and select Style.
Pick any outfit that is not greyed out. The change applies immediately, so your character wears it the next time you leave the menu.

Note: Outfits are purely cosmetic. Unlike the mainline games, they carry no ability buffs, and you cannot mix and match individual pieces. Each look comes as a complete set.

The four amiibo-exclusive outfits

Four looks can only come from amiibo, and there is no way to earn them through normal play. The three Deep Cut figures each grant a character-inspired outfit, while any older Splatoon series amiibo unlocks a single shared set.

From the Hideout ship, press + to open the Gear menu and head to Style.
Press R to switch to the amiibo tab, then select Scan! and follow the on-screen prompt.
Tap the figure to the NFC point. On handheld or Joy-Con 2, use the right stick; on a Switch 2 Pro Controller, place it over the Nintendo logo. The unlocked outfit is sent straight to your wardrobe.

Scanning an unsupported figure returns the message “Please tap an amiibo that is compatible with Splatoon Raiders,” so no other amiibo grants a reward. With the raid on Erpp Island cleared and the Style menu open, the rest comes down to working through the conditions above at your own pace.
