Cookie Run: Crumble hides its damage numbers, which makes picking a PvE team more guesswork than it should be. The units that actually carry story stages, boss fights, and horde clears come down to raw damage, the buffs and debuffs they hand the rest of the team, and how well their skills line up with a squad’s synergies. The ranking below sorts the roster for pure PvE play.
Quick answer: Build Wind Archer, Vampire, Pomegranate, Milk, Herb, Milky Way, and Oven Wanderer first. Wind Archer is the top overall DPS and Vampire is the strongest single-target boss killer.

PvE tier list for every ranked Cookie
Each tier reflects how much a Cookie is worth investing in for PvE content specifically. S-tier units are meta anchors you build without hesitation. A-tier picks are strong but swappable. B-tier fills gaps and works as a placeholder. C-tier units are outclassed and not worth your upgrade materials.
| Tier | Cookies |

Add to Google Preferences →Why the S-tier Cookies carry PvE
Wind Archer sits at the very top as the highest raw DPS unit in the game. Its Pierce synergy lets attacks tear through lines of enemies, so it clears crowds and chunks bosses at the same time. To get the most out of it, pair it with a Pierce provider so the piercing hits actually stack up.
Vampire is the boss specialist. Its single-target burst is the best in the game against one high-health target, and it layers on an accuracy debuff to keep your team safer during long fights. When a stage comes down to killing one big enemy fast, Vampire is the pick.
The rest of the S-tier splits between damage and support. Milky Way brings heavy AoE plus stun utility, and Oven Wanderer drops massive area damage even though its AI wanders unpredictably. On the support side, Pomegranate hands the whole team a permanent attack buff, Milk stacks healing, attack buffs, and Duration synergy, and Herb is the most accessible healer while feeding Volley synergy to ranged squads.

A-tier: strong but swappable
Dark Choco earns its spot through stacking defense reduction that multiplies your whole team’s damage, on top of solid personal output. Devil does something similar with a strong defense-reduction debuff, though it is fragile and needs protecting.
Twizzly Gummy is a high-damage Chain recipient, so its value depends on running a Chain provider alongside it. Skating Queen buffs crit damage and feeds Chain synergy, while Macaron gives strong early crit buffs and Range synergy. All four are worth building, but you may rotate them out once your S-tier core is set.
B-tier placeholders and early-game filler
These Cookies keep a team functional until better options arrive. Grapevine and Bear Jelly Worker cover Rapid Fire synergy, Orange provides early Rapid Fire, and Lime offers Chain synergy plus light healing. Alchemist stands in as a Projectile Speed placeholder.
For early damage, Blackberry handles AoE, Poison Mushroom deals steady single-target poison, and Dark Cherry works as a standard starter frontliner. Rye hits hard but is held back by long cooldowns, Licorice tanks through a summon, and Dr. Bones performs better in PvP than in PvE. None of them are keepers, but they clear content while you upgrade.
C-tier Cookies to avoid investing in
The bottom tier is where synergy problems and weak scaling drag Cookies down. Strawberry Crepe and Schwarzwalder are the clearest traps, because their knockback shoves enemies out of position and disrupts your team’s skill targeting. In a mode where your other units want enemies clustered, that actively works against you.
The rest simply fall behind. Berry Yogurt tanks poorly, Rockstar’s shields are too weak, Tiger Lily is outclassed by Herb, and Lemon, Peach, Pancake, and Cream Puff lack the damage or protection to justify a slot. Witchberry’s Pierce synergy is too hard to trigger, and Space Doughnut’s crowd control is unreliable.

How this ranking was built
Placements weigh three things for PvE: damage output, the buffs or debuffs a Cookie gives the team, and how easily its skills tie into a squad’s synergy graph. Because Crumble is built around team synergy, a support that multiplies your carries can outrank a self-contained damage dealer.
This reflects the PvE meta as of early August 2026, shortly after the game’s global launch. Balance patches and new Cookies will shift these spots, but the S-tier core of Wind Archer, Vampire, Pomegranate, Milk, and Herb is the safest foundation to build a PvE roster around right now.
