Arc Raiders: Where the Rarest Blueprints Drop

The condition-locked, quest-locked, and event-only recipes worth hunting, and the exact map states that make them appear.

The condition-locked, quest-locked, and event-only recipes worth hunting, and the exact map states that make them appear.

Blueprints are the single most valuable loot type in Arc Raiders because each one permanently unlocks a crafting recipe back in Speranza. You extract with the blueprint, right-click it, and choose “Learn and Consume.” The recipe is then yours forever, but the blueprint itself is gone. Most of the rarest ones do not spawn under normal conditions. They are locked behind specific map states, dynamic events, or quests, and that is exactly why players go hunting for them once an Expedition cycle pushes them back into the grind.

Quick answer: The rarest blueprints only appear under set triggers. Chase Legendary weapons like Aphelion on Stella Montis, Dolabra in Close Scrutiny, and Jupiter and Equalizer during the Harvester event. Tempest, Vulcano, and Bobcat require Night Raid, Hidden Bunker, and Locked Gate respectively, and all three also drop during Hurricane. Blueprints for rare and epic items appear far more often during x2 Major Map Conditions.

Condition-locked and event-only blueprints

These are the recipes you cannot simply stumble into on a standard day raid. Each one is tied to a map, a map condition, or a live event. If the condition is not active, the blueprint is not in the loot pool at all.

BlueprintItemWhere it drops
AphelionLegendary battle rifleStella Montis, any condition, random world drop
DeadlineMineStella Montis, any condition
DolabraLegendary energy shotgunClose Scrutiny, the three breachable Assessor containers
CantoRare SMGWorld drop, best odds from First Wave Caches during Hurricane
Surge CoilRare deployableClose Scrutiny, with Electromagnetic Storm leads on Dam
TempestEpic weaponNight Raid or Hurricane, Residential Containers and First Wave Cache
VulcanoEpic shotgunHidden Bunker or Hurricane, anywhere and First Wave Cache
BobcatEpic SMGLocked Gate or Hurricane, anywhere and First Wave Cache
JupiterLegendary bolt-action rifleHarvester event only
EqualizerLegendary beam rifleHarvester event only
Fireworks BoxQuick UseCold Snap condition
Snap HookQuick UseElectromagnetic Storm

Hurricane is the standout condition here because it stacks the odds for several rare weapons at once. Tempest, Vulcano, and Bobcat all fall into the Hurricane pool alongside their individual triggers, so a Hurricane raid gives you multiple high-value chances in a single run. Jupiter and Equalizer are the exception to the RNG rule. Both are tied to completing the Harvester event, which makes them the closest thing to a guaranteed Legendary blueprint drop in the game.

Quest-reward blueprints you cannot loot

Five blueprints never spawn in containers. The only way to unlock them is by finishing the specific quest attached to each. These are worth prioritizing because they remove RNG entirely.

HullcrackerThe Major’s Footlocker
Trigger ‘NadeSparks Fly
BurlettaIndustrial Espionage
Lure GrenadeGreasing Her Palms

Hullcracker deserves a mention beyond the list. It is an Epic grenade launcher that deals heavy damage to ARC machines, and its recipe requires 1x Magnetic Accelerator, 3x Heavy Gun Parts, and 1x Exodus Modules at Gunsmith 3. Completing The Major’s Footlocker is the only route to it.

How the rarest blueprints actually drop

Outside of quests and Harvester, every blueprint runs on spawn RNG. There are no guaranteed container spawns, so the goal is to maximize the number of rolls you make per raid. A few rules shape where you look.

  • Weapons and gun parts sit in Raider Containers, which includes Raider Caches, Weapon Boxes, and Grenade Tubes. The Medical Bag is the exception and does not hold weapon blueprints.
  • Explosives spawn in Industrial Containers, medical blueprints in Medical Containers, augments in Security Containers, and utilities in Electrical Containers.
  • Rare and epic blueprints are more common during x2 Major Map Conditions, so a doubled condition raid is the single best time to farm.
  • ARC Surveyors can drop blueprints on death, and the pull is effectively random. Osprey, Vita Shot, and Tactical Mk. 3 (Defensive) are among the recipes tied to Surveyor kills.

Container density matters more than any single “magic room.” Areas packed with drawers, lockers, and small containers give you more rolls of the dice, and Blue Gate leans heavily on large multi-item containers that raise your blueprint odds. Any blueprint that exists in the scavenging loot pool can also come from completing Trials, which is a reliable secondary path when a container hunt runs dry.

Note: The base chance of a blueprint appearing in any given container is very low, roughly 1 to 2 percent. Night Raids and Electromagnetic Storms can raise rare spawn chances, and Raider containers and Security Lockers carry a higher-than-average rate. Volume is the real strategy.

Chasing Dolabra in Close Scrutiny

Dolabra is the current standout hunt and the clearest example of a fully event-gated Legendary. It only appears in the Close Scrutiny operation, and it comes from the Assessor encounter.

Enter a Close Scrutiny raid and locate the ARC Assessor. This is the encounter that feeds the Dolabra blueprint into the loot pool.
Breach the three Assessor containers. Every Assessor gives you three rolls at the blueprint, but the drop is not guaranteed on any of them.
Secure the blueprint in your Safe Pocket the moment it drops, then extract. Once you learn and consume it, you can craft Dolabra at Gunsmith Lv3 using 3x Shredder Gyro, 3x Magnetic Accelerator, and 2x Vaporizer Regulator.

How to confirm a blueprint unlocked

A blueprint is not learned until you extract and consume it. Back in Speranza, open your inventory in the lobby, right-click the blueprint, and select “Learn and Consume.” The blueprint disappears from your inventory, and the recipe appears on the matching workshop bench. Already-learned blueprints show a checkmark and cannot be consumed again, which is the fastest way to tell duplicates apart from new finds.

Some recipes will not appear right after consuming the blueprint. If a crafted item is missing, the bench it belongs to needs upgrading first. Weapons craft at the Gunsmith, augments at the Gear Bench, explosives at the Explosives Station, medical items at the Medical Lab, and utilities at the Utility Station. Legendary weapons like Aphelion, Jupiter, and Equalizer all require Gunsmith 3.

Why a blueprint isn’t dropping

If a specific rare blueprint refuses to show up, the cause is almost always a missing condition rather than bad luck alone. Run through these before writing it off.

  • The required condition isn’t active. Tempest needs Night Raid, Vulcano needs Hidden Bunker, Bobcat needs Locked Gate, and Fireworks Box needs Cold Snap. Without the trigger, they aren’t in the pool.
  • You’re on the wrong map. Aphelion and Deadline are Stella Montis drops, and Dolabra and Surge Coil are Close Scrutiny leads.
  • It’s a quest blueprint. Vita Spray, Hullcracker, Trigger ‘Nade, Burletta, and Lure Grenade never spawn in containers.
  • You’re searching the wrong container type. Weapon blueprints won’t appear in Medical Bags, and augments come from Security Containers.

Every blueprint sells for 5,000 coins, so duplicates are never wasted. Keep spares to gift to friends inside a raid, or hold them to donate toward the Expedition. When the right condition rolls around again, that is your window to close out the recipes still missing from your Workshop.
