Every operator, gadget, weapon, and bug fix in the Operation System Override balancing update that went live August 4, 2026.

The Y11S2.3 update for Rainbow Six Siege is live, and it is a tuning pass rather than a content drop. This third balancing title update for Operation System Override nudges six operators, widens two pieces of equipment, and clears out a batch of gameplay and interface bugs. It arrived after a 60-minute server maintenance window, and on consoles it shows up as version 3.45/1.000.150.

Quick answer: Hibana, Maverick, Fuze, Tubarão, Oryx, and Mute all get small gadget buffs, the Impact EMP Grenade radius grows to 2m, and the Reaper MK2 recoil now ramps up later in the burst. No operators, maps, or modes are added.

Operator gadget changes in Y11S2.3

Every operator tweak here is a quality-of-life adjustment. The intent is to make each gadget more forgiving to use without changing the operator’s role or overall power. Attackers pick up faster utility and more fuel, while two defenders get better coverage and quicker repositioning.

OperatorGadgetChange
HibanaX-KairosDetonation timer cut to 3.8s (was 4s)
MaverickBreaching TorchCanister ammo up to 160 (was 144); total ammo up to 320 (was 288)
FuzeCluster ChargeBreaching time on reinforced surfaces and Armor Panels cut to 1.75s (was 2s)
TubarãoZoto CanisterRange up to 3.2m (was 3m)
OryxRemah DashDash recharge cut to 5s (was 8s)
MuteSignal DisruptorDisruption range up to 2.6m (was 2.475m); warning range up to 4.875m (was 4.75m)

Oryx sees the largest single swing here. Dropping his dash recharge from eight seconds to five gives him far more room to reposition and react across a round, which leans into his identity as a fast, roaming defender. Hibana’s faster X-Kairos detonation shortens the window where she is exposed after committing her pellets, and Maverick’s extra fuel means more chances to open a wall or hatch before running dry.

Weapon and equipment changes

Impact EMP Grenade radius

The Impact EMP Grenade now disables electronics across a 2m radius, up from 1.8m. The larger area makes it easier to knock out multiple gadgets with a single throw, so precise placement matters a little less. The overall utility of the tool is not meaningfully expanded beyond that wider reach.

Reaper MK2 recoil

The Reaper MK2 gets a recoil refinement that applies to both mouse and keyboard and controller. The recoil stages now kick in later in the burst, moving to bullets 0, 3, 10, and 25, up from 0, 3, 7, and 13. In practice, the hardest part of the kick starts much deeper into sustained fire, so the weapon stays controllable for longer without changing its core feel.

Gameplay bug fixes

A handful of gameplay issues that affected movement, detection, and gadgets have been resolved.

  • Rappelling attackers who sometimes could not enter balconies on Chalet can now do so.
  • Defenders are now detected outside at EXT Garage on Villa.
  • Operators no longer get disabled and frozen in a crouch when hit by a concussion effect during the Armor Pack pickup animation.
  • The fully extended Roc Shield hitbox now matches its model instead of being larger.

User experience fixes

Most of the interface and input fixes target console mouse and keyboard support, which rolled out earlier in the season, along with a few menu and matchmaking annoyances.

  • The default value for the “Crossplay & Input devices” setting is now Mouse & Keyboard.
  • The Match Cancellation Vote no longer disappears when a second player from the same team disconnects.
  • Players using Elite and third-party Xbox controllers on console are no longer placed into PC lobbies.
  • Mouse and keyboard input is now detected on console.
  • Equipped items in the Locker now correctly show their equipped state.
  • Five-player squads in a PvE Quick Match no longer get stuck in an infinite loading screen during the second round.

Taken together, Y11S2.3 is a maintenance-style patch that smooths out rough edges rather than reshaping the meta. If you run Oryx, Maverick, or the Reaper MK2, the differences should be noticeable straight away, while the bug fixes quietly clean up the console input rollout and a few long-standing map quirks.
