Frost Biter ability and special mechanic
The Frost Biter fires icy harpoons that briefly freeze a target’s reactions. Its standout mechanic is on the pull buttons. Every time a pull button appears, it is momentarily frozen in place, and the freeze duration scales up with the weapon’s Resilience stat.
It also carries a 40% chance to apply the Frostbite mutation to a catch. The Hunt Focus is tuned toward the Frostwyrm, the same secret-tier fish you need for the Boreal Pines Bestiary.
Version changes
The Frost Biter launched in Version 1.95.0. A follow-up balance pass in Version 1.95.1 adjusted two numbers, cutting Power and greatly extending Range.
