Capybaras VS Plants event
Capybaras VS Plants Update 4 + Admin Abuse: Schedule & Countdown
Capybaras VS Plants pairs a fresh content update with a live “admin abuse” session on a steady weekly beat, and Update 4 is the version in rotation right now. The tower-brawler has pulled in more than 58 million visits and over 800,000 favorites, and it usually has a few thousand capybara commanders defending their plots at once — about 2,600 are in the game right now.
Every cycle bundles two things: the update itself, which drops new content into the game, and an admin-abuse session, where the developers hop into live servers to spawn mayhem, hand out buffs, and bend the normal rules alongside everyone playing. That combination returns on a weekly schedule, so once one window passes, the next update-and-abuse slot comes back around about seven days later.

How often updates land and when to catch them
A new update-and-admin-abuse session lands weekly, and the series has run 4 times so far. Rather than a single start, each cycle opens across a few time-of-day windows so players in different parts of the world can all reach one at a sensible hour. Three recurring slots make up the current schedule, all anchored to U.S. Eastern Time:
| Window (ET) | US Pacific | UK | Central Europe | India | Japan | Sydney |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Wed, 10:00 AM | 7:00 AM | 3:00 PM | 4:00 PM | 8:30 PM | 12:00 AM (Thu) | 1:00 AM (Thu) |
| Sat, 10:00 AM | 7:00 AM | 3:00 PM | 4:00 PM | 8:30 PM | 12:00 AM (Sun) | 1:00 AM (Sun) |
| Sat, 12:00 PM | 9:00 AM | 5:00 PM | 6:00 PM | 10:30 PM | 2:00 AM (Sun) | 3:00 AM (Sun) |
Those world-clock times are approximate and can slide by an hour around daylight-saving changeovers, but the Eastern anchor stays put. We’ll confirm the exact date as soon as the developers post the next session, following the same weekly pattern.
What’s new in Update 4
Update 4 is billed as the game’s first limited-time event and is pitched by the developers as the “greatest challenge yet.” The new content drops at the same moment as the admin-abuse session, so a single window covers both the fresh material and the developer free-for-all in live servers — a tougher, time-limited test stacked on top of the usual run of play.
Tips for catching it
- Pick the window that lands in your waking hours — the Saturday 12:00 PM ET slot is the most daytime-friendly for Europe and Asia, while the 10:00 AM ET slots suit the Americas.
- Set a reminder for a few minutes ahead; admin-abuse sessions are liveliest while the developers are actively in-server.
- Miss it? Nothing is lost for long — the slot comes back the following week, so you can plan around the next cycle.
How it fits the game’s event rhythm
Capybaras VS Plants leans on a busy events calendar. It has rotated through seasonal content such as Season 2 + New Machine and a multi-part Halloween run, and admin-abuse sessions are a recurring fixture in their own right — a separate Midweek Admin Abuse has run alongside the weekly slot. Against that backdrop, the Update + Admin Abuse cycle is the backbone most players set their week around.
