Argo’s Merit Chest: Epic (Bound) is the middle-grade reward box tied to Argo, the Spirit King, the level 65 boss in the Archipelago of Siel’s Wings in Chaotic Lower Reshanta. You can’t buy it, trade it, or pick it up off the boss directly. You make it through Substance Morph, and each one pays a fixed pile of Abyss Points plus a small chance at Silver Medals of Merit or a piece of Argo gear.
Quick answer: Convert 3 Proof of Hero (Argo) (Bound) into one chest through Substance Morph, up to 7 times per character per week. Every chest gives 2,700 Abyss Points.

How to get Argo’s Merit Chest: Epic
The only recipe for this chest runs through Substance Morph. It takes 3 Proof of Hero (Argo) (Bound) and produces a single chest. The conversion is capped at 7 per character per week, so the most any one character can make in a week is seven chests, which costs 21 Proof of Hero tokens.
The chest’s in-game description frames it as a reward for players who pulled real weight in the fight against Argo, the Spirit King in the Archipelago of Siel’s Wings. That’s where your Argo progress starts. You’ll know a conversion went through when the Proof of Hero count in your inventory drops by three and a new Argo’s Merit Chest: Epic (Bound) shows up in its place.
The weekly limit is per character, not per account. Making chests on one character does nothing to the cap on another.

Opening the chest always pays out 2,700 Abyss Points. Everything else is a roll. The chest has 15 possible entries, and they break into three groups: a flat Silver Medal of Merit roll, a 5% bonus medal roll, and a 1% gear roll that hands out one of ten Argo pieces.
Abyss Points and Silver Medal of Merit
| Reward | Quantity | Chance |
|---|---|---|
| 2,700 | Always | |
| Silver Medal of Merit | 2 | 30% |
| Silver Medal of Merit (5% roll) | 1 | 2.5% |
| Silver Medal of Merit (5% roll) | 2 | 1.5% |
| Silver Medal of Merit (5% roll) | 3 | 1% |
The 5% roll picks one of three medal bundles, so smaller bundles come up more often. Silver Medal of Merit is a common-grade material used in Armorsmithing.

Argo gear from the 1% roll
The gear roll hits 1% of the time and then picks one of ten Argo items. The odds aren’t even across the set. The Argo Ring sits at the top of the per-item chances.
| Item | Type | Chance per chest |
|---|---|---|
| Accessory | 0.15% | |
| Armor | 0.11% | |
| Accessory | 0.11% | |
| Armor | 0.11% | |
| Armor | 0.09% | |
| Armor | 0.09% | |
| Accessory | 0.09% | |
| Armor | Part of 1% roll | |
| Armor | Part of 1% roll | |
| Armor | Part of 1% roll |
Put plainly, a full week of seven chests gives you 18,900 Abyss Points and only a slim shot at any specific Argo piece. The chest is a steady Abyss Points source first and a gear lottery second.
Argo armor stats from the chest
All Argo armor that can roll out of the chest is Unique grade, item level 70, and needs character level 45 to equip. Each piece has 4 manastone slots, enchants up to +15, and can be traded until it becomes soulbound.
| Item | Slot | HP | Defense |
|---|---|---|---|
| Top | 280 | 517 | |
| Legs | 210 | 431 | |
| Helm | 175 | 388 | |
| Pauldrons | 175 | 388 |
Argo Breastplate carries the 5th highest Defense among the 147 Top items. The Splendent Ebony Dragon Lord Breastplate and Splendent Wise Dragon Lord Breastplate share the top spot at 756.

Argo Greaves also rank 5th for Defense among the 147 Legs items, behind the Splendent Ebony Dragon Lord Greaves and Splendent Wise Dragon Lord Greaves at 630.

Argo Helm lands 5th in Defense among the 145 Helm items. The two Splendent Dragon Lord helms lead that slot at 567.

Argo Pauldrons match the helm’s numbers and sit 5th for Defense among the 147 Pauldrons items, again behind the two Splendent Dragon Lord sets at 567.

Enchanting raises every one of these four pieces by the same amount: +100 Defense and +80 HP at +5, +200 Defense and +162 HP at +10, and +304 Defense and +247 HP at +15.
Argo’s Merit Chest: Epic trade and storage limits
The chest is bound to the character that makes it. It’s Epic grade, usable from level 1, and stacks to 999. The rules for moving it around are strict:
- Can go into Character Storage
- Cannot go into Server Storage
- Cannot be sold through public trade
- Cannot be handed over in a personal trade
- Has no shop price and cannot be sold
That makes it purely a personal reward. Gear that rolls out of it is a different story, since Argo armor stays tradeable until you soulbind it.
Where Argo, the Spirit King spawns
Argo, the Spirit King is a level 65 hero-rank boss of the Natura creature type with a single spawn point at Siel’s Right Wing in the Archipelago of Siel’s Wings, Chaotic Lower Reshanta. Beyond the chest, the boss itself can drop Argo armor and accessories, Fallen Ancient God pieces, Vowed weapons, and Artwork: Argo, the Spirit King at a 25% rate.
