AION 2: Every Dawn Legion Base Regional Quest and Reward (Elyos, Verteron)

The Dawn Legion Base is the Elyos home camp in Verteron, and it anchors a cluster of regional quests that fill out the early Legion story while handing over gear, Kina, and crafting materials. Most of them sit in the level 16 to 22 range, so you can clear them alongside the main Episode line without overleveling.

Quick answer: There are nine Elyos regional quests tied to the Dawn Legion Base. Six are active (recommended level 16 to 22) and award 260,022 XP combined, plus accessories and titles. Three fromis_9 collaboration quests are no longer valid and can no longer be completed.

Every active quest here starts in Verteron at the Dawn Legion Base, even when it sends you out to finish elsewhere. The table below lists each quest, its recommended level, the XP it grants, and the full reward package.

Short errands: Fossa, Odyle, and the Creion test

Three of these quests are quick in-and-out jobs with only one or two steps each. They are the fastest clears in the camp.

Searching for an Escaped Fossa

Searching for an Escaped Fossa picks up after one of Kaidros’s trained Fossa turned on a legionnaire and bolted. Hithanya hands you the job at the Dawn Legion Base, and Kaidros is clear about the terms: “It was a troublemaker, but all my Fossa are precious to me.” You talk to Hithanya to start tracking the animal, then head toward the Thieves Camp to chase it down. The trail ends grimly — the Fossa is found dead, leaving behind a crystal that carries its soul. Turn in to Minos at the Eastern Cantas Campsite; the quest closes once he takes your report.

The Future of Odyle Collection

The Future of Odyle Collection begins when Shuron worries that the camp’s Odyle reserves are running low after the Poeta operation — “Ugh! Why can’t an Odyle vein just BAM! drop out of nowhere?” Lebronus has secretly repurposed a damaged Odyle Collector so it can attract creatures with traces of Odyle. Take the Modified Odyle Collector to the cave located south of the Contaminated Marsh and try it out, then bring the Odyle you recover back to Shuron. He is delighted by your haul when you report in, completing the quest.

Creion Experiment

Creion Experiment stands apart as the level 22 quest and the camp’s largest one-time XP reward, granting 97,797. Etezia, a Creion researcher, thinks she has found an Odyle replacement: “I think I’ve created something! A substance that can replace Odyle!” Lend her a hand at the cave south of the Contaminated Marsh, then continue to Creion’s Secret Place to put her creation to the test. The experiment fails when the energy turns into a cannibal plant and the created substances disappear, but Etezia accepts the setback calmly. Return to her at the Dawn Legion Base to complete the quest.

The Dawn Legion story quests

These three are longer, multi-step chains that dig into the Legion’s members and history. They all sit at recommended level 16.

With the Dawn

With the Dawn is your formal enlistment into the Dawn Legion. Janna gives it at the base, and what should be paperwork turns into a manhunt when a disillusioned legionnaire named Belgor ambushes his comrades and deserts.

Unspoken Story

Unspoken Story opens with Nania tired of Luteros disappearing whenever cleanup duty comes around. His apparent shirking has another explanation: each year, he honors his brother by taking the wine his brother loved to his memorial.

Closure

Closure follows Cardin, whose discovery of a necklace belonging to the late Perion leaves him preoccupied with its written message. The clues lead to a proposal Perion never delivered to Hithanya.

The fromis_9 collab quests (no longer valid)

Three level 99 quests at the Dawn Legion Base came from a limited fromis_9 collaboration event and can no longer be accepted or finished. They remain documented for context, but their emote and title rewards are off the table.

The Case of the Stolen Stage Props opened the event when a Stage Director discovered the props for a celebration show had gone missing — “D-Don’t tell the others…but the stage props are gone, nyerk!” Players investigated backstage and turned in to Park Jiwon, earning the fromis_9 LIKE YOU BETTER INTRO emote and a choice of one member title.

Whodunit, Kru? identified the Spice Krus as the thieves: they were rehearsing in a hidden storage area, resentful that they had been excluded from the show. Defeating them returned the props; turning them in to the Stage Director awarded the Flover Cheer1 and Flover Cheer2 emotes.

The Performance of a Lifetime closed the chain with the recovered props and a successful show, handing over an autographed keepsake. Turning in to Baek Jiheon granted the fromis_9 LIKE YOU BETTER Preview1 and Preview2 emotes.

If your goal is XP and gear, the six active quests are the ones that matter — the 260,022 XP and the Dawn accessory set they drop will carry you cleanly through the Verteron leveling stretch, with the level 22 Creion Experiment worth prioritizing for its larger payout.
