Ellun River Midstream is the clean middle stretch of the river that runs through Verteron, and it holds ten Elyos regional quests spread across the Dawn Legion’s work, Shugo merchant troubles, and rifts that lead to another world. Recommended levels run from 22 to 45, so most become practical as you close in on the cap. Each one is completed by handing it back to its giver or the named end NPC, at which point the quest clears from your log.
Quick answer: The ten Ellun River Midstream regional quests span recommended levels 22 to 45 and award a combined 17,079,364 XP, with every level-45 entry handing out 100,000 Kina and the lower-level ones scaling down from there.
Level 22 quests: Sneaky Drakan and Legacy of Illusion
Sneaky Drakan begins and ends with Nania at Dundu’s Rest. The scout Arma has spotted Egia near the Destroyed Abyss Gate, machines large enough to move Balaur troops in bulk, and if they run they would wipe out Verteron’s Barrier Tower and merchant guild bases. As Arma puts it, “There are three Egia devices in total.” You go in with Nania, clear the Drakan guarding the site, and read the technicians’ documents to find a way to shut the machines down. Some of the papers are written in Krall, which lets you learn the safe way to disable all three.

Legacy of Illusion begins with Hepallin searching for a missing Illusion Cavalier. Belenis disappeared after her secret squad entered the Krall-held Verteron Fortress Ruins to retrieve abandoned Illusion Relics. With Cecilia’s illusion magic, you take Kobold form and slip inside to search for her. Belenis insists on getting the three volumes of the Kaisinel’s Legacy Trilogy before she will leave, so you retrieve them from the Krall and then escort her out. On the way back, she says, “I risked my life for these books only to almost lose them,”

Add to Google Preferences →Aullaeu’s Lament (level 30)
Aullaeu’s Lament begins with Zizi at the Dawn Legion Temporary Base and concludes with Sohoaul on the sky island. The Shugo have imprisoned a distraught Aullaeu, who keeps calling out for someone named Holyaul. You learn that Aullaeu is actually Sohoaul, a devoted follower of Holyaul, a respected leader framed by his rival Aulamus and exiled to the Forest of Exiles. Aulamus sided with the Dragon Lord Ishtar and seized control of the tribe, leaving Holyaul’s faction on the brink of extinction. Unable to recover his fallen leader by himself, Sohoaul tells you, “If I couldn’t protect him, I would at least like to give him a proper burial.”

The Spacetime Rift trio (level 45)
You can take these three quests from Wind Breeze Merchant Mino at the Abandoned Legion Outpost, though their objectives lie in Altgard, across the continent. Spacetime Rifts open in random places at scheduled times; their locations show on the map, and a message alerts the entire server whenever one appears. Enter a rift, complete the task, then return to Mino in Verteron to turn it in.
Spacetime Rift is the first. Mino has found a tear at the destroyed Abyss Gate that leads somewhere resembling Verteron but not the same, and he wants it examined. The place is Asmodae. Interact with the Spacetime Rift to pass through, then defeat 7 Withered Armadon in Altgard to collect their claws for Mino. “A rift has appeared at the destroyed Abyss Gate!” is how he pitches it.
Spacetime Rift: Not Quite the Same follows Mino’s curiosity about why the creatures over there look familiar yet off. Defeat 4 Ashen Forest Spirit and 3 Burned Withered Agrint in Altgard to bring back specimens. “You don’t see colors like this in Verteron,” he notes when he studies them for possible products.
Spacetime Rift: Unfamiliar Material has Mino chasing the toxic aura given off by twisted beasts beyond the rift, which he thinks he can sell to magic-using Daeva. Defeat 7 Mutated Elim and Mutated Forest Guardian in Altgard to gather the Toxic Aura, then return so he can start developing a new product.
Level 45 field quests in Ellun River Midstream
Volunteer Farmhand
Volunteer Farmhand starts with Renes at Pamos Farm and is turned in to Walt. Someone brought a hornets’ nest back after finding rare honey, the field got swarmed, and the sweet smell then drew in Togs that ate the crops. “Togs ate all the crops, and now some hornets have built nests,” Renes sighs. You clear the pests, harvest the vegetables, and cook a stew to share with the farmhands.

Do You Smell That?
Do You Smell That? is given by Althea, a Creion researcher at the Dawn Legion Temporary Outpost. An experiment of hers released an unidentified contaminant into a nearby lake, and her colleagues ran away. She asks you to help clean the water with a device that draws on the Aquascale Crasaur’s innate ability to heal. The trial removes only some of the contaminated slime; Althea is already thinking about larger projects, which means the rest of the cleanup will need more time.

Souls Bound by Duty
Souls Bound by Duty begins and ends with Cassian at the Ellun River Midstream Pond. At Anguish Hill, the deceased legionnaires remain unable to move on to Odyle and attack anything nearby. Defeat 15 Moaning Gladiator’s Soul and Moaning Ranger’s Soul to set them free, then inspect the Legion Gladiator Corpse. Its journal reveals that they remained at their post out of duty, holding the area against Balaur air raids until the end. Cassian says, “they stayed behind out of a sense of duty to protect Verteron from the Balaur.”
No Good Deed…
No Good Deed… is given and turned in by the Shugo peddler Naru at the Ruin Exploration Campsite. Naru caught a wanted criminal and clashes with a woman calling herself Isolde of the Dawn Legion over the prisoner’s custody. Isolde is a fraudster herself; she robs Naru, frees the prisoner, and flees to steal a fake Kobold transformation potion from Dundu. The bad potion kills her near a Kobold den, and you recover Naru’s stolen supplies. “That human was no legionnaire,” Naru warns once the trick is exposed.

A nearby level-45 companion: Nine Wonders of Verteron: Final Stretch
If you are clearing Verteron’s regional quests at level 45, the scenery-based Nine Wonders of Verteron: Final Stretch runs in the neighbouring Altamia Canyon. It is picked up from the explorer Nevius near the Zumion Statue, sends you to two viewpoints, and pays out 100,000 Kina, two Daevanion Crystals, a Cube Expansion Voucher, and the Full of Soul title. The frames below walk through its two “Admire the scenery” markers.
