Mela comes from Fruit nodes that you harvest with Essence Extraction. These are Novice-grade nodes, so gathering mastery level 1 is enough to start pulling them. Verteron holds 96 Mela gathering spots, mostly spread through the flower fields and cliffs of Western Cantas Valley.
- Each node gives 1 Mela per gather.
- Nodes can be gathered a maximum of 3 times, shared across all players.
- Harvesting also grants Essence Extraction proficiency experience.
- Gathering nodes may also yield extra loot, including a Herb Collector’s Lockbox or Poko’s Skin Bundle.
Since each node is limited to three gathers, move to quieter corners of the valley when the common spots have already been stripped by other players.
You know a gather worked when the extraction gauge fills on “Success” and the chat line reads “Acquired Mela x1,” along with Kinah and any bonus loot.

Best Mela farming route
Travel to the Coastal Camp Kibelisk in Western Cantas Valley, then search the nearby flower meadows. Node clusters appear in fields with red and white flowers, near the ruined stone pillars, and beside the upper cliff edges. Glide between elevated spots to keep the route short.
| Faction | Route | Time | Avg. drops |
|---|---|---|---|
| Elyos | Western Cantas Valley | 6 minutes | 9-10 |
Mela from Wanted mission quests
A number of Wanted mission quests award Mela in addition to their primary loot. Examples include targets like Worshiper Dekish, Scouter Sahar, Destroyer Tarka, Watcher Sandha, and Praetorian Irima, among others. These quest rewards come less reliably than gathering drops, but collect them as you complete your Duty missions.
What Mela is used for
Mela is a cooking ingredient. At the lowest level it makes Mela Juice, a Common drink that raises Natural MP Regen and Natural Stamina Regen for 300 seconds. Higher-level recipes fold it into stronger food and drink.
| Recipe | Cooking mastery | Mela needed | Other ingredients |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 1 | Sugar x1 | |
| 51 | 5 | Sweet Balaur Berry x1, Sugar x5, Odyle x1 | |
| 60 | 3 | Soft Balaur Meat x1, Coriolus x3, Verteron Pepper x5, Odyle x1 |

Each recipe starts at a base success rate of 72.9% with a 30% combo chance. White Dragon’s Fruit Juice and White Dragon’s Chopped Steak are Epic-grade results, so hold onto spare Mela once your cooking mastery climbs toward 51 and 60.
