Intermediate Abyssal Soulstone is a Rare stone in AION 2 that you engrave into the Soulstone slots on accessories to add random stats. It sits in the middle Abyssal tier, between the Lesser and Superior versions, and it is the one you make at the workbench rather than farm from drops.

Quick answer: Craft it with Alchemy at mastery level 90 using 5 Lesser Abyssal Soulstone, 5 Spiritstone Powder, and 3 Professional Ink (Bound). Then engrave it into an accessory’s Soulstone slot for one random stat line.

What the Intermediate Abyssal Soulstone does

Soulstones go into accessories, while Manastones handle weapons and armor. The Abyssal versions matter because they open up PvP stat lines that ordinary stones cannot roll, so the same stone can land a straight combat stat or a PvP-only bonus depending on the roll.

Each engrave produces one stat, and both the stat type and its value come down to chance. Every roll lands in one of three value grades: Common at 50%, Rare at 35%, and Epic at 15%. A higher grade means a bigger number, not a different stat.

Possible stats and roll chances

The chance column is how often that stat family appears at all. The three values show what you get at Common, Rare, and Epic grade in that order.

StatChanceValues (Common / Rare / Epic)
Attack6%2 / 4 / 8
Defense6%20 / 40 / 75
Accuracy Bonus6%6 / 9 / 13
Evasion Bonus6%6 / 9 / 13
Critical Hit6%6 / 9 / 13
Critical Hit Resist6%6 / 9 / 13
Block10%9 / 13 / 18
HP9.5%45 / 80 / 130
MP9.5%23 / 40 / 65
PvP Attack5%4 / 8 / 16
PvP Defense5%40 / 80 / 150
PvP Accuracy5%12 / 18 / 26
PvP Evasion5%12 / 18 / 26
PvP Critical Hit5%12 / 18 / 26
PvP Block5%12 / 18 / 26
PvP Critical Hit Resist5%12 / 18 / 26

Block carries the single highest stat chance at 10%, with HP and MP close behind at 9.5% each. The seven PvP lines each sit at 5%, so roughly a third of all rolls land on a PvP stat, which is the main reason to reach for an Abyssal stone on gear you plan to use in open-world or arena combat.

How to craft the Intermediate Abyssal Soulstone

There is no drop source for this stone. Alchemy is the only way to make it, and you need the profession at mastery level 90. Crafting tables that support it are in Verteron and Altgard.

One craft uses the following materials and has a base success rate of 72.9%:

  • Lesser Abyssal Soulstone ×5
  • Spiritstone Powder ×5
  • Professional Ink (Bound) ×3

Each craft has a 20% combo chance. When a combo triggers, the result upgrades to a Superior Abyssal Soulstone instead of the standard Intermediate one, so a lucky session can hand you the higher-tier stone for free.

The Spiritstone Powder is itself a sub-craft. If you are gathering from scratch, the full material load per stone comes to 5 Lesser Abyssal Soulstone, 10 Spiritstone (to make the powder), and 3 Professional Ink (Bound).

Trade and storage

The crafted stone can be traded on the Market and through personal trade, and it stores in Character, Server, and Legion storage with a stack size of 10,000. There is also a Bound version of the same stone that cannot be traded, so check the tag before you list one for sale.

Engraving it onto an accessory

Open the Enhancement window with the N key, or press Escape and pick the Enhancement option under the Closet. Then select the Manastone tab.
Right-click the accessory you want to work on. The game automatically picks the Soulstone, since Soulstones only fit accessories.
Click Engrave in the lower right. A random stat line from the table above is added to the accessory. Running Engrave again with another stone rerolls the result if you want a different stat or a higher grade.

The roll has succeeded if the Enhancement preview now lists an extra stat line on the accessory. White text marks basic rolls; green identifies higher grades. Beside the stone, the percentage icon gives the precise odds for every line that can appear.
