Every Daeva who logs into AION 2 during the launch window gets a free Advance: Pet Chest delivered straight to the in-game mailbox. Opening it hands you the Pagati pet automatically and a second chest that lets you pick one more companion from a set of four. Both are permanent, bound to your account, and ready to ride.

Quick answer: Open the AION2 Launch Reward mail, collect the Advance: Pet Chest, then use it from your Cube to receive Pagati plus a selection chest for one of four pets. Log in before December 1 to qualify.

Claim window and deadlines

The reward isn’t tied to pre-registration anymore. NCSOFT extended the pre-registration and wishlist rewards to anyone who creates an account and logs in before maintenance begins. You just need to be in the game once during the window, and the mail arrives on its own.

  • Last chance to log in: December 1, 2026 at 11:30 PM PT (December 2 at 9:30 AM CEST).
  • In-game mail expires: December 8, 2026 at 11:30 PM PT (December 9 at 9:30 AM CEST).

Claiming the reward and opening the mail are two separate things. Log in before December 1 to receive the mail, but open and collect the chest before the mail expires on December 8, or it disappears.

How to claim the Advance: Pet Chest

Open the Mail menu and switch to the System tab. Scroll to the message from AION2 with the subject “AION2 Launch Reward” and select it to read its contents.

Receive the attached Advance: Pet Chest from the mail so it moves into your inventory. The chest itself is the container, not the pet yet.
Close the mailbox and open your Cube (inventory). Find the Advance: Pet Chest and use it.

Collect the two items that drop out: Pet: Pagati, which grants the pet directly, and one Advance: Pet Selection Chest. Both are usable items that sit in your inventory until you open them.

Choosing a pet from the selection chest

Using the Advance: Pet Selection Chest opens a list of four pets, and you keep only one. Each entry has a preview icon that drops you into a fullscreen view of the pet standing idle and carrying a rider, so you can check the look before committing.

The four options differ in how they look and in the stat line they carry once leveled. Every one of them unlocks at 5 souls, costs 25 souls to reach level 2, and 75 more to reach level 3. Here is what each pet gives at its maximum level 3.

Silver Blade RotanVarianEvasion Bonus +2, Constitution +1
Konutin WorkerNaturaStamina +9, Critical Hit Resist +2, Precision +1
Black Smoke MuruteNaturaStamina +9, Critical Hit Resist +2, Precision +1

Papis is a glowing winged creature that carries you suspended beneath it, and its line favors Accuracy and Dexterity. Silver Blade Rotan is a circular mechanical wheel you stand on top of, and it leans toward Evasion and Constitution. Konutin Worker is a wooden forest creature with a woven back basket you sit in, while Black Smoke Murute is a molten rock golem; both share the same Stamina-heavy stat line.

Natura pets like Konutin Worker and Black Smoke Murute, plus Varian, Fera and some others, can also transform your character into the creature. To redeem, select one pet, set the quantity to 1, and confirm with Use. Picking a pet of a given genus also raises that genus’s Pet Genus Insight; choosing Silver Blade Rotan, for example, pushes Varian Insight to level 2.

When the chosen pet is already in your collection, the item becomes a Soul for it rather than another copy, and still counts toward leveling it.

What Pagati does and how to equip it

Pagati is a Special-genus pet, and it is the one every eligible player receives no matter which option they pick from the selection chest. It carries no stat bonuses, so its value is the pet itself rather than numbers on a sheet. Outside this reward, Pagati sells for 2,000,000 Kina in the main menu Shop, limited to one per server.

From the reward it arrives at Pet Insight Lv. 3 [MAX], which is the highest level, so there’s no soul grind to finish it. At that level it unlocks Mount and Mount Glide, letting you ride on the ground and glide through the air. Its movement figures are a speed of 9 and a sprint speed of 12.

To bring it out, open the Closet and go to the Pets menu, select Pagati to view its stats, and equip it. From there you can ride it in the open world and use its glide while airborne.

How to confirm it worked

Using the Advance: Pet Chest places Pet: Pagati and the Advance: Pet Selection Chest in your Cube, confirming the claim. Choose and redeem an option from the selection chest; a Pet Genus Insight Level Up banner then appears for that pet’s genus, and the pet is added to the Closet’s Pets list. Equip Pagati, then mount it in the field and glide to verify the reward is fully set up.

Pet Stats by Level and Where to Find Souls

Leveling costs 25 souls for level 1 to 2 and 75 souls for level 2 to 3. The bonuses build up at each step, as shown below.

Farming souls for your pet

Silver Blade Rotan and Black Smoke Murute each have a matching creature in Fire Temple: Burning Temple. Both are aggressive hero-rank bosses at levels 37-74, with 3 spawn points each. Each drops its own bound Soul (Common): Soul: Silver Blade Rotan (Bound) and Soul: Black Smoke Murute (Bound).

Black Smoke Murute also drops Kina, Soul Codex (Bound) at 60%, Refining Stone at 53.7%, and Amplify Stone Fragment (Unique) (Bound) at 20%. It has a range of Epic gear drops too, including Murute Earrings at 10.0% and Corrupted Judicator Gloves, Cloak, Helm, Pauldrons, Boots and Necklace at 8.0-10.0%. A Murute run for souls can bring gear along with it.

Konutin Worker is a level 25 normal-rank creature that is aggressive on sight. It spawns at 12 points in Konutin’s Cave: Howling Den.

Both chests are Special grade, level 1 usable items that cannot be traded. The Advance: Pet Selection Chest stacks to 999, so you can hold it until you decide.
