The Silver Medal of Merit is AION 2’s PvP prestige currency. It has no effect of its own. You can’t equip it or consume it for a buff. Its value comes from what it buys: Centurion skins in the Abyss Trade Shop, each with a permanent PvP bonus that applies once the skin sits in your Closet.
Quick answer: Buy up to 10 a week from the Abyss Trade Shop for 10,000 Abyss Points each, then add Merit chests, Dimensional Core drops, Artifact Siege rank rewards, season missions, and Substance Morph.

What the Silver Medal of Merit is
The medal is a Common-grade currency awarded for success in the endless war between Elyos and Asmodians. There is no level requirement to hold or spend it. It is locked to the character that earns it, so you have to farm it on each character that needs it.
- No personal or public trading
- Can’t be moved through character or server storage
- Can’t be sold
- Usable at all levels

Add to Google Preferences →Silver Medal of Merit effects: Centurion skin bonuses
Every Centurion skin costs a mix of Abyss Points and Silver Medals of Merit. Each one carries an Owned Effect. That means the bonus applies as long as the skin is in your collection. You don’t have to wear it.
| Centurion skin | Abyss Points | Silver Medals | Owned Effect |
|---|---|---|---|
| Greatsword | 441,400 | 120 | PvP Greatsword Damage Boost 3% |
| Longsword | 441,400 | 120 | PvP Longsword Damage Boost 3% |
| Dagger | 441,400 | 120 | PvP Dagger Damage Boost 3% |
| Bow | 441,400 | 120 | PvP Bow Damage Boost 3% |
| Spellbook | 441,400 | 120 | PvP Spellbook Damage Boost 3% |
| Orb | 441,400 | 120 | PvP Orb Damage Boost 3% |
| Mace | 441,400 | 120 | PvP Mace Damage Boost 3% |
| Staff | 441,400 | 120 | PvP Staff Damage Boost 3% |
| Breastplate | 147,100 | 40 | PvP Damage Tolerance 1% |
| Greaves | 147,100 | 40 | PvP Damage Tolerance 1% |
| Helm | 147,100 | 40 | PvP Damage Tolerance 1% |
| Pauldrons | 147,100 | 40 | PvP Damage Tolerance 1% |
| Gloves | 147,100 | 40 | PvP Damage Tolerance 1% |
| Boots | 147,100 | 40 | PvP Damage Tolerance 1% |
The weapon skins only boost damage for the weapon type they name. A Staff skin does nothing for a Bow user, so buy the one that matches your class’s main weapon. A Chanter wants the Staff, a Ranger the Bow, a Cleric the Mace. All six armor pieces grant the same 1% PvP Damage Tolerance each, so the order you buy them in doesn’t matter.
Every Centurion skin is Unique grade, bound, and can’t be traded. Open it after purchase and the look is added to your Closet. The skin appearing there confirms that the purchase went through and the Owned Effect is active.

How to get Silver Medal of Merit
A single weapon skin costs 120 medals. The weekly shop cap alone won’t get you there quickly, so you’ll need to stack several sources.
Abyss Trade Shop
The Trade Shop in the coin shop game menu sells the medal for 10,000 Abyss Points apiece. Each character can buy 10 per week, which costs 100,000 Abyss Points for the full allotment. You need the rank of Ninth-Class Soldier or higher. Elyos and Asmodians each have their own version of the shop with the same price and cap.
Abyss Points come from PvP in Reshanta. Repeatable duty quests such as Defeat First-Class to Fifth Class Soldiers pay 2,000 Abyss Points per completion. That quest unlocks at level 45, has you take down enemy-faction soldiers in Chaotic Middle Reshanta, and can be repeated without limit.
Merit chests
The Medal of Merit Chest: Silver is a Rare usable item that gives a Silver Medal of Merit when opened. It’s tradeable to no one, stacks to 999, and has no level requirement, so you can hoard them and open them in bulk.

The medal also appears in the boss-named Merit chests tied to Reshanta’s bosses. All of them are bound.
- Nahma’s Merit Chest: Rare, Epic and Unique
- Argo’s Merit Chest: Rare, Epic and Unique
- Kaira’s Merit Chest, plus its Rare and Epic versions
Dimensional Core and Artifact Siege
Defeating a Dimensional Core drops 3 Silver Medals of Merit. Artifact Siege pays medals as a rank reward, up to 3 per siege depending on how well you place.
Substance Morph from Silver Fragment of Merit
If you have a pile of Silver Fragment of Merit (Bound), Substance Morph turns them into full medals. There are two recipes for each faction, and they share a cap of 20 crafts per character per week.
| Recipe | Fragments | Kina | Success chance |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cheap | 20 | 30,000 | 10% |
| Guaranteed | 200 | 300,000 | 100% |
The two recipes cost the same per attempt ratio, ten times the inputs for ten times the odds. A failed attempt on the cheap recipe returns nothing.
Substance Morph draws on Kina (All), consuming bound Kina before any unbound Kina.

Season missions and achievements
Season missions also hand out medals, and the PvP-themed ones pay the most. In Season 0, these are some of the larger payouts on the Asmodian side.
| Season mission | Medals per stage | Stages paying medals |
|---|---|---|
| Waltzing with Elyos Commanders I | 9 | 2 |
| Waltzing with Elyos Generals I | 6 | 3 |
| No Time to Rest I | 5 | 3 |
| Hand-To-Hand Combat I | 4 | 5 |
| Waltzing with Elyos Officers I | 3 | 3 |
| Purify Reshanta I | 1 | 9 |
Smaller one-medal rewards also come from Land Grabs I, Down to the Last One, and the Daeva of Enduring, Glorious and Extraordinary Deeds missions. Because season rewards are tied to a specific season, treat this as a one-time boost rather than a renewable source. The weekly shop purchase and Substance Morph are the dependable routes, and together they cap at 30 medals per character each week.
