Soul Codex: Reset is the item AION 2 uses to throw out the Soul Binding stats on a piece of gear and roll a new set. It is a Special-grade scroll in the Upgrades category. It does nothing to raise stat values. Its only job is to give you a fresh binding when the one you have is wrong for your build.
Quick answer: Buy it for 20,000 Oath Coin in the Season Shop or 8,000 Phantasmal Fragment in the Nightmare Trade Shop. You can also earn it from season missions, achievements, four regional quests, Monoliths, and Hidden Cubes.

What Soul Codex: Reset does to bound gear
Soul Binding adds extra stat slots to equipment, and the stats in those slots are drawn at random. A reset rerolls every Soul Binding stat on the item in one go and drops its Soul Binding Rate back to zero. You can’t pick which stats come back. Reset also costs Kina on top of the scroll.
That makes it a different tool from the plain Soul Codex, which you spend through Bind to push existing stats toward their maximums. It also differs from Sync, which rerolls a single slot by sacrificing a matching item. Reset makes sense when two or more slots hold stats your build doesn’t use and the item is worth keeping. If only one stat is bad, Sync costs less.

Because the scroll is bound and blocked from Server Storage, it stays on the character that earned or bought it. Plan purchases on the character that owns the gear.

You’ll know the reset worked when the item shows a new set of Soul Binding stats and its Soul Binding Rate reads zero. The scroll is consumed from your inventory. From there you can use Bind with regular Soul Codex to raise the new stats.

How to get Soul Codex: Reset
There is no crafting route. Every copy comes from shops, achievements, quests, world objects or reward tracks.
Shops
| Shop | Tab | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Season Shop | Growth | 20,000 Oath Coin |
| Nightmare Trade Shop | Consumables | 8,000 Phantasmal Fragment |
The Nightmare Trade Shop caps purchases per character each week, so stock bought after a weekly reset doesn’t roll over. Oath Coin for the Season Shop comes in bulk from the season missions below.

| Incarnated Warding Feather II | Complete Level 10 in under 1 minute | 1 |
| Culminant Paton II | Finish Level 10 in less than 1 minute | 1 |
All of these are Unique-grade season missions. Street Fighter sits in the Abyss group, Reaper of the Arena in the Arena group, and the boss clears in the Nightmare group. Each tier also pays Oath Coin. The Enraged Reda, Incarnated Warding Feather and Culminant Paton missions pay out in their own coin types: Oath Coin: Season 2, Oath Coin: Season 3 and Oath Coin: Chapter 1.
The three tier 1 boss challenges each run 10 stages. Level 10 of Fortress Guardian Notun (Destruction Archon Underground Fortress) and Mutated Gerod (Blades Hideout) recommends 2,300 combat power. Level 10 of Zikel’s Apparition (Impetusium) recommends 3,000.

Quests, Monoliths, Hidden Cubes and reward tracks
| Source | Where |
|---|---|
| Regional quest | Eternal Isle’s Distinct Ecology |
| Regional quest | Immortal Isle’s Distinct Ecology |
| Regional quest | Crimson Isle, Where Time Has Stopped |
| Regional quest | Spirit Isle, Where Time Has Stopped |
| Altgard Monolith | Safe Haven |

Verteron alone holds 2 Monoliths and 95 Hidden Cubes, so a full sweep of the region covers two of these sources at once. Between the weekly Nightmare Trade Shop stock, the season missions and the one-time quests and achievements, most characters can bank several resets before committing Soul Codex to Bind on a long-term piece of gear.
