All 5 Fox Locations in Deltarune Chapter 5 (Five Fox Door)

Find every hidden fox near the Second Diner to open the locked door and claim the Pink Coin.

Find every hidden fox near the Second Diner to open the locked door and claim the Pink Coin.

The Flower Castle hides five foxes in a single room near the Second Diner, and finding all of them opens a locked door that hands you a Pink Coin. You only need three foxes to satisfy Aqua and continue the main story, but the door behind her stays shut until all five are collected. Two of those foxes are easy to walk past, so the order below covers each one without missing any.

Quick answer: Reach the Second Diner in the Flower Castle, take the door to its left, and gather all five foxes in the statue room and its two side rooms. Once five are collected, the locked door opens automatically and the fox inside becomes a chest holding a Pink Coin.

Where the foxes are and why they matter

All five foxes sit on the same floor, so there is no need to backtrack across the chapter. After your first boss encounter with Green, head into the diner where Aqua tells you to find three foxes. Instead of entering through her, take the door to the left of the Second Diner. That leads to a room with two fox statues out front and a larger room full of terracotta statues beyond it. Every fox is found here.

The Pink Coin from the Five Fox Door feeds into the Mystery Key, which unlocks the secret boss battle in this chapter. If you only want to clear the story, three foxes are enough. If you want the secret fight, you need all five.

5Hidden room in the upper-left, behind a paper screen

Fox 1: Hidden paw behind the paper walls

Do not enter the room with the fox statues out front yet. Move to the right of Aqua, behind the paper walls, where paw enemies slide up and down as you push toward a chest at the end. When the enemies start moving in a curly line, watch for a paw sticking out between two walls.

The shape to the left of that visible paw is the fox, not an enemy. Press X or A to pick it up. Carry it back toward Aqua to lock in your first fox. You can sometimes spot the fox flickering between the two screens as you approach.

Fox 2: Roaming the statue room

Room with the Terracotta models

Enter the larger room filled with terracotta statues. A fox wanders around the center on its own. Chase it toward the door to corner it, and it counts as collected. This is usually one of the three you grab to get past Aqua, so you may already have it.

Fox 3: Push the statue off the edge

Head to the bottom-right corner of the statue room. Look at the bottom row and find the statue that is second in from the right corner. Stand behind it and press X or A to push it off the edge. As it goes over, the statue turns into a fox.

Fox 4: The side room with the paper curtain

From the statue room, take the door in the upper-right corner into a smaller room. Several fox silhouettes hide behind a paper curtain, with enemies jumping around. Pick one blindly and place it on the blue switch. That removes the curtain so you can see which silhouette is the real fox.

Approach from behind and grab them one at a time until you pull out the fox. It may take a couple of tries before you get the right one.

Fox 5: The hidden upper-left room

Room with the fifth fox

Return to the statue room and go to the upper-left area. Push the statues blocking the path out of the way to reveal a hidden room. Step inside and you will find another paper screen.

Interact with the screen to open the path. The character that appears looks like Yellow at first, but it is the fifth fox in disguise. Grab it to complete the set.

Open the Five Fox Door and claim the Pink Coin

Fox that gives you a Pink Coin

With all five foxes collected, leave the room and head to the locked door on the left. It stays shut until the count hits five, so if it will not open, you are still missing one. Once the count is complete, the door opens when you interact with it.

Go through and interact with the fox inside. It turns into a chest containing a Pink Coin. That coin counts toward the Mystery Key needed for the secret boss battle in this chapter.

If the door refuses to open, head back to each spot and confirm none of the five are still in place. The most commonly missed ones are the disguised paw near Aqua and the statue you have to push off the edge.
