Seeds are the foundation of every run in Greedy Growers. You buy them from the river belt, plant them in your plot, and wait for a tree to grow before lightning wipes it out. As of Update 1.2, 20 seeds are spread across eight rarity tiers, and each one carries its own spawn chance and price tag.

Quick answer: The Void Seed is the rarest and most expensive seed, with a 1-in-1,000 spawn chance and a price of $1.75Qi. The Oak Seed sits at the opposite end, spawning at 1 in 5 and costing nothing.

Seeds appear along the river belt at random. The rarer a seed’s tier, the less often it shows up and the more it costs to buy. Here is the full lineup, ordered from cheapest to most expensive.

How rarity changes spawn odds and cost

The eight tiers run from Common up to Divine. Moving up a tier makes a seed appear far less often and raises its price sharply. Common seeds show up roughly once every five spawns, while Divine seeds only turn up once in a thousand.

RaritySpawn ChancePrice Range
Common1 in 5Free – $25
Rare1 in 9$200 – $500
Epic1 in 15$10K – $20K
Legendary1 in 120$2.50M – $10M
Mythic1 in 300$3B – $7B
Celestial1 in 400$500B – $750B
Secret1 in 660$500T – $850T
Divine1 in 1,000$1Qi – $1.75Qi

Because higher tiers are both rarer and pricier, you generally need a large cash reserve saved from earlier harvests before the top seeds are worth chasing. Waiting for a Divine seed to spawn takes patience, and you still have to afford it once it appears.

The Void Seed is the top-tier seed

The Void Seed holds the rarest spot in the game right now. It carries a 1-in-1,000 spawn chance and sits in the Divine tier alongside the Diamond Seed. At $1.75Qi, it is also the single most expensive seed you can buy. When it does spawn on the river belt, an on-screen message flags its arrival, so you will not miss it.

Seed mutations and mutated fruit

Seeds can pick up mutations during certain weather events. While mutation weather is active, both seeds spawning on the river belt and seeds already planted in your plot have a chance to gain that weather’s mutation.

A mutated seed grows into a mutated plant, which then produces mutated fruit. Those mutated plants and fruit sell for more than their normal versions, so catching a mutation on a valuable seed can meaningfully boost a harvest.

Seed Luck in Greedy Growers

There is currently no way to raise your Seed Luck. As of Update 1.2, the developers have not added a Luck system, so every seed spawns at its listed base chance with nothing to tilt the odds in your favor.

The roster continues to grow as new content lands, so expect more entries above the current 20 in future updates. For now, the Oak Seed remains the free starting point and the Void Seed sits at the top of the ladder.
