A Fragrant Journey: Echoback Landing is the pink-colored entry in Aniimo’s perfume hunt, and it is gated behind a second quest before the perfumer Elvira will take anything from you. The flower she wants, the Whalesong Blossom, only blooms after you solve the echonite puzzle spread across the giant whale skeleton on the Echoback Landing shore.
Quick answer: Finish Everlasting Echoback Song first. Strike every echonite at Echoback Landing at night, pick the Whalesong Blossom, then hand it to Elvira near Bloomville to receive Whisper of Longing.
Echoback Landing location and level range
Echoback Landing sits in the Breezy Plains region, north of the Sea of Flowers where Bloomville is built. The whale bones are the landmark you are looking for, and the shoreline around them is where every objective in this chain takes place.

Bring a Fire-type Aniimo with you. Flameruff and Emberpup both roam Echoback Landing, so you can catch one on the beach if your team does not already have one.
Start the quest with Elvira near Bloomville
The chain opens with a clue rather than a quest marker, so you have to pull it out of the Log yourself.
Open the Log, switch to the Journey tab, and track the clue Longing by the Water. The marker drops onto the Sea of Flowers, at the entrance to Bloomville.
Fast travel to Bloomville and head for the riverbank. Elvira is standing on the far side with her companion Appo, so swim across the river to reach her.
Talk to Elvira. The conversation unlocks A Fragrant Journey: Echoback Landing, but she cannot blend anything until the Whalesong Blossom exists, which means Everlasting Echoback Song has to be cleared first.
Everlasting Echoback Song: Find Sorora on the shore
Everlasting Echoback Song belongs to The Legend of Echoback Landing chapter and begins with a painter who has been stuck on the same canvas for a while.
Run along the shore and speak to Sorora at his easel. The Painter by the Sea cutscene plays and the objective updates to investigate the Echoback bones.

Strike every echonite at night
The echonites are the whole puzzle. They stay dark during the day, and the game will not let you progress until the clock is moved forward.
Walk up to the first crystal embedded in the bone. The prompt asks you to twine with a Fire-type Aniimo, so switch to one and attack the echonite. A trail of light ignites and points toward the next node.
Follow that light line along the beach and hit the crystals in the order it shows you. Sorora’s dialogue confirms the sequence matters, since activating them correctly is what resonates the Echoback Song.
Climb and glide across the high rib arches for the elevated nodes. Several echonites sit well above the sand on the tall bone structures and cannot be reached from the ground.
Work the waterline last. Use the floating wood platforms and swim out to the vertical bone pillars offshore, then strike the final echonite to trigger the cutscene where starlight gathers into an Echoback whale.
If the light beam stops connecting between crystals, you have skipped one in the chain. Backtrack along the trail and look for a node you passed at a different height.
Collect the Whalesong Blossom and finish Sorora’s painting
After the cutscene, follow the quest marker and the glowing path along the whale bones. It leads out to a small island shore past the shallows.

Swim back to Sorora and report what you saw. He offers two names for the finished canvas, Symphony of Reunion or Echoes of a Vigil. Pick either one, view the painting, and Everlasting Echoback Song closes out.
Deliver the blossom to Elvira for Whisper of Longing
Hand over the Whalesong Blossom. The True Meaning of Longing cutscene plays, and Elvira blends the flower into Whisper of Longing.
You know it worked when the perfume lands in your inventory and A Fragrant Journey: Echoback Landing drops off the tracked list in the Journey tab. The Legend of Echoback Landing chapter also ticks up in the Log, though reaching 100 percent on that chapter requires clearing Stars and the Knight on the same stretch of beach before you can claim the chapter reward.
What Whisper of Longing is used for
Whisper of Longing is one of the ten legendary perfumes the Fragrant Dream chapter asks for. It represents the pink of the Breezy Plains, crystallized from the Whalesong Blossom, and it feeds the Land Color: Echoback section of that chapter.
Head to Tideblossom Coast and find the Colorless Dream – Echoback.
Use Whisper of Longing to give color to that dream.
The section pays out 60 Safaris and 5 Glimmer.
Tideblossom Coast is a level 53–60 area, so the perfume will usually sit in your bag for a while before you can safely cash it in. The delivery to Elvira is what closes the Echoback leg of the journey, and the Colorless Dream can wait until your team catches up.
