In the Aniilog, Chirpi appears as No.007: a Wind-element Support that glides on air currents rather than walking. It floats close to the surface off Breezy Plains’ northern coast, making it easy to run by on land if you’re looking down. The Argent Strait is the most reliable spot to catch one.
Quick answer: Head to -1251, 0646 at The Argent Strait in Breezy Plains. Look just beyond the shore for a floating Chirpi, then lock on and launch Twine I from your Aniipod.
Where to find Chirpi in Breezy Plains
The Basic Form of Chirpi spawns across four areas of Breezy Plains, all of them in the northern half of the region. The Argent Strait is the most convenient because Chirpi gather in numbers on the beaches there, especially around the Alpha Tubster’s arena. Every Aniimo you have already caught also gets a Habitats option in its Aniilog entry, which drops yellow squares on the map so you can find more of the same species later.

The four Basic Form regions are The Argent Strait, Nimbus Fields, Beast Fang Ridge, and Blitzwood. In Beast Fang Ridge the wild Chirpi sit around Level 33, and you highlight the species on the map to light up its yellow habitat tiles before teleporting to the nearest waypoint.

- The Argent Strait (most plentiful, around Level 34)
- Nimbus Fields
- Beast Fang Ridge (around Level 33)
- Blitzwood
A second cluster sits at -1229, 0609 along the west coast beaches of The Argent Strait, near the Alpha Tubster’s arena. That is the spot to farm duplicates if you want a Chirpi with the right potential for evolving.

The Argent Strait suits players around level 28–32. Catch Chirpi while the area is still within your level range if you want an early Support. While exploring, you can also search the zone’s 38 chests, collect 10 Lumin Amber, and take on 6 Pathfinder Challenges.
Chirpi stats, trait, and skills
To view the Chirpi you just caught, open the main menu and select the Aniimo screen. Its roster entry shows the level, combat power, and complete skill set. A new Level 34 Chirpi has CP 77, making it a Support pick rather than a front-line attacker.

| Stat | Base | Stat | Base |
|---|---|---|---|
| 97 | M.Def | 69 | |
| 83 | Regen | 93 | |
| P.Def | 67 | Break | 43 |
| Base total | 452 | ||
As a Wind Aniimo, Chirpi is strong against Grass and Dark, resists Wind and Dark, and is weak to Light and Lightning. Its trait and pathfinding are the practical reasons most players go looking for it.
- Band Member (trait): when switching Aniimo in battle, restores 20 EP to the next Chirpi family member switched in. Triggers once every 20s at most.
- Fly (pathfinding): press the jump button in the air to start flying. Flying costs Stamina.
Chirpi combat skills
| Skill | Element | Might | EP |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tornado Wind Orb | 67 | 20 | |
| Tornado | 59 | 20 | |
| Water Tornado | 45 | 20 | |
| Leaf Tornado | 45 | 20 | |
| March | — | 20 |
Tornado Wind Orb has a 1s cooldown: it sends out an orb that bursts on impact, producing a tornado that moves forward. Tornado and Water Tornado each summon a vortex to draw enemies into its center; each Water Tornado hit also uses 4 Energy. March plays music and provides its namesake movement-series buff, regenerating 0.8% max HP each second for 20s. When three movement-series buffs are up, their effects all increase by 30%.
How to evolve Chirpi
Chirpi evolves at Level 18 down one of three branches, each costing Gust Stone x3. Which branch you can take depends on the potential of the Chirpi you caught, so check its stats in the Outpost before committing.
| Evolution | Requirements | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Lv. 18, 6+ HP Potential, Magic Horn passive | Gust Stone x3 | |
| Lv. 18 | Gust Stone x3 | |
| Lv. 18, 6+ Break Potential, defeat Alpha Tubster | Gust Stone x3 |
For the Tromber branch, reach Student III (Level 40) rank and use 1 Report Card to open the Magic Horn passive. Then catch a Chirpi whose HP Potential is at least 6. To access the Tubster branch, catch a Chirpi with Break of 6 or higher and defeat Alpha Tubster.
Chirpi’s other forms
Chirpi has two regional variants beyond the Basic Form, each tied to a different part of Breezy Plains. Highland Chirpi is a Wind/Grass dual type, while the Basic and Beach forms are pure Wind.

| Form | Number | Where to find |
|---|---|---|
| Basic Form | No. 7A | Argent Strait, Nimbus Fields, Beast Fang Ridge, Blitzwood |
| Beach Form | No. 7B | Echoback Landing, Forest of Falling Stars |
| Highland Form | No. 7C | Zephyrus Landbridge, Russet Highlands |
Once Chirpi is in your roster, you can Twine with it to make use of its Fly pathfinding, and its Band Member trait keeps EP topped up as you rotate the Chirpi line through a fight. Catch a spare with strong HP or Break potential early and you set up an easy evolution into Tromber, Cornet, or Tubster later.
