Aniimo: How to Beat and Catch Alpha Leafy in The Mistwoods

Alpha Leafy is a fixed open-world boss that sits on the giant lotus leaves inside a cavern pool in The Mistwoods, part of the Breezy Plains region in Aniimo. The fight is built around one idea: Leafy keeps destroying the leaves you stand on, so the encounter is as much about keeping your footing as it is about dealing damage. Clear it once and you can attempt a single guaranteed capture.

Quick answer: Beat Alpha Leafy on the lotus leaves in The Mistwoods, breaking its Lotus Essence and its healing shield, then spend 30 Primegy on an Anipod Ultra or Sparkling Cube for a 100% catch.

Alpha Leafy location in The Mistwoods

Travel northeast from the Breezy Plains Branch to reach Alpha Leafy, located in a grove at the heart of The Mistwoods. In the cavern pool, check the broad lily pads around -1117, 1021. After marking it on the world map, you can teleport directly there.

It is a Grass and Water type Alpha with a 20-second respawn interval, so it returns quickly if you want to farm it. Its level tracks your regional progression in Breezy Plains rather than being fixed, so expect it to scale as you level up.

How to beat Alpha Leafy

The arena itself is the mechanic. Leafy tears apart the lotus leaves you stand on, and it summons tornados that deal heavy damage if you stay too close. Bring a team that can keep dealing damage and reliably trigger BREAK, and an ice-element attacker helps most because ice skills rebuild your footing.

Teleport to the Mistwoods marker and drop onto the lotus arena. Watch the floor for red telegraph rings and dodge out before the tornado attacks land instead of trying to tank them.

Use ice-element skills to create temporary footholds as Leafy destroys the leaves beneath you. Keeping solid ground under your Aniimo is what lets you keep attacking without falling behind on damage.

As soon as the warning appears that Leafy will take in the Lotus Essence, BREAK the Lotus Essence so the lotus leaf is restored. Failing to do this makes the platform beneath you disappear.

Keep applying stagger until you trigger the BREAK state. During BREAK and the short recovery window that follows, Leafy takes greatly increased damage, so commit your strongest attacks then rather than spreading them out.

Later in the fight Leafy wraps itself in a glowing blue shield and begins healing. BREAK the shield quickly to stop it from recovering HP, otherwise it will claw back everything you took off.

Do not empty every cooldown at the start. Hold enough damage and utility to answer the Lotus Essence and shield moments, then unload once the BREAK window is live.

How to catch Alpha Leafy after the fight

You cannot catch Alpha Leafy while Twined during the battle. The Catch Countdown only starts after you defeat it, and you get one attempt. Switch to the most advanced device you own before the timer runs out.

An Anipod Ultra or a Sparkling Cube both show a 100% catch rate, which guarantees success for 30 Primegy. Weaker options carry much lower odds, such as 14% for an Anipod Hyper or 7.2% for a standard Anipod, so save the guaranteed device for an Alpha you actually want. A successful catch adds Leafy in its Basic Form, Novic Stage, to your Anilog.

Alpha Leafy rewards

Claiming rewards from Alpha Leafy costs 30 Primegy per clear. The first clear pays a one-time bonus, and every clear after that gives a scaling set that grows with your title rank.

Sprout Stone is the reward to prepare for. Beating Alpha Leafy grants access to the Pranky to Leafy evolution; on the giant lotus leaf occupied by the Alpha, evolving a Lv. 20 Pranky requires Sprout Stone x3.

Confirming the Seeker in the Mist badge

Defeating and catching Alpha Leafy completes the “Seeker in the Mist” objective, which asks you to earn the Silver Collection Badge in Mistwoods. Open the quest tracker to claim the completion rewards once the counter reads 1/1.

To confirm everything registered, open the world map and select Mistwoods to check its collection progress and pick up the 100% completion rewards. The badge itself appears under Character then Badges, listed as Seeker in the Mist.

If a capture fails, the run is not wasted. Alpha Leafy respawns on its 20-second timer, so you can return, clear it again for materials, and take another catch attempt whenever you are ready.
