Side quests in Aniimo are where a lot of the game’s loose resources live. Glimmer, Credits, Safaris, evolution unlocks, rare creature spawns, and one-off items all sit behind 16 optional Journey quests spread across Idyll. They do not unlock in a neat line, and a couple of them quietly run on real-world timers, so the order you tackle them in matters more than it first looks.
Quick answer: Start Warrior (The Legend of Thousand-Fang Ridge) as early as you can. It takes three real-life days to finish because of daily server resets, and it gates the Inferlupa evolution for Flameruff.
Do the time-gated and permanent unlocks first
Four quests are worth clearing before anything else, because each one either runs on a clock or permanently switches something on in your account.
Warrior (The Legend of Thousand-Fang Ridge)
This one starts in Beast Fang Ridge. Explore the region and investigate Clue: the Inferlupa’s Flying Head by interacting with the pack of Emberpups gathered at their campfire. From there, progress is capped by the daily reset, so the quest spans three separate play days no matter how fast you are. Start it, then go do everything else while the timer ticks. You know it has finished when the Inferlupa evolution becomes available for Flameruff, alongside 30 Sparkling Crystal, 3 Blaze Stone, 30 Glimmer, 30,000 Credits, and 1,000 Safaris.
Servers reset at 04:00 local server time, which lands differently depending on where you play:
- APAC: 4:00 AM UTC+8
- Europe: 4:00 AM UTC+1
- America: 4:00 AM UTC-5
Secret of the Golden Helmet
A hidden quest in the Russet Highlands, found west of First Sight Sanctum. Interact with the Devoted Helmut standing beside the golden helmet to trigger it. Finishing it permanently adds wild spawns for the Mountain Woods form of both Helmut and Rookey in that region, which is the entire reason to prioritize it. There is no Glimmer or Credit payout here, so treat it as a collection unlock rather than a resource run.
Prologue: The Wondrous RV
Technically a Homeland quest rather than a Journey one, but it belongs in the same early bucket. Reach Level 20, then talk to Fannie in Nimbus Fields to unlock your RV and the Aniimo Homeland. Completing it opens base building, facilities, and housing, and pays 30 Glimmer, 15,000 Credits, and 100 Bud Ticket. Leaving it sitting means leaving a whole system switched off.
Mysterious Presence
Head to Astra and interact with the glitching sign outside the ChillBeanz Cafe to get pulled into another dimension. It is the single largest resource payout of any side quest at 200 Voxel Coin, 50 Glimmer, 60,000 Credits, and 1,000 Safaris, and it also grants the Aimo Core and opens high-tier Holo-Lab challenges. A follow-up, Mysterious Presence – Super Claw Malfunction, unlocks once you collect 3 Voxel Cubes during the Mysterious Anomaly.

If you have been ignoring side content and want resources in your account fast, these town quests are short and pay above the average for Glimmer, Credits, and Voxel Coin. Clear them in any order.
| Quest | Voxel Coin | Glimmer | Credits |
|---|---|---|---|

That’s Art! Not Scribbles! is the odd one out. It pays no Credits and no Voxel Coin, but its 130 Glimmer is the biggest single Glimmer drop on the board, plus 4 Aniimo Paintings. Look for Shulala at Horizon Square to pick it up.
All 16 side quests and how to unlock them
Several quests do not appear in the journal until a specific trigger fires, whether that is entering a region, catching a particular Aniimo, or beating a named enemy during the main story.

Two separate quests are both called Warrior. One belongs to The Legend of Thousand-Fang Ridge in Beast Fang Ridge, the other to The Legend of Helmuts and Helgons in the Russet Highlands. Island Adventure: Nightfall Tales requires the Helgons version, not the Beast Fang Ridge one.

Region-locked quests and the levels they expect
Three regions hold the bulk of the region-triggered quests, and each sits at a different point on the power curve. Turning up underlevelled is the most common reason a quest feels impossible rather than optional.
The Argent Strait
Part of Breezy Plains and the area where the opening hours of the game play out. Its wild Aniimo sit in the level 28 to 32 band, and the map holds 38 chests, 10 lumin amber, 6 pathfinder challenges, 3 blooms, 3 ecological points, 1 bonfire, and 1 lumin collection. Fly Free! begins here once you find the Grumpy Chirpi.

Russet Highlands
The densest side quest region, holding four of the 16 entries. It runs from level 45 to 50 and is packed with 73 chests, 29 transporters, 16 ecological points, 8 lumin amber, 4 pathfinder challenges, 3 blooms, 2 bonfires, and 2 lumin collections. Secret of the Golden Helmet, both Island Adventure quests, and the Helmuts and Helgons version of Warrior all live here.

Tideblossom Coast
The highest-level region of the three at level 53 to 60, with 23 chests, 3 lumin amber, 2 blooms, 2 pathfinder challenges, and 1 ecological point. Is That a… Lighthouse? does not appear until you catch the Alpha Luminelle here, so the quest is effectively gated behind being strong enough to beat and capture it.

How more side quests become available
Side quests are drip-fed rather than handed to you all at once, and there are three levers that open new ones.
- Raising your rank. Main quests, side quests, catching Aniimo, and growth quests all push your level up, and more entries appear as it climbs.
- To clear an assessment, take on a Growth quest. These quests generally increase your world rank after you battle a Badge holder and answer Dr. Lewis’ questions correctly.
- Simply arriving. Some quests fire the moment you set foot in the right region or speak to the right NPC.
Main story progress matters too. Binding Oath, Stars and the Knight, and the Helmuts and Helgons Warrior quest all hang off Ancient Sacred Fragrance, so they cannot be picked up before that chapter is underway.
Ordered sensibly, the whole set is quick. Kick off Warrior (The Legend of Thousand-Fang Ridge) so the three-day clock is already running, sweep the town quests for Glimmer and Credits while you wait, grab Secret of the Golden Helmet for the permanent Mountain Woods spawns, then let the region and story-triggered entries fall in as you progress. The quest journal’s Journey tab tracks each one as it completes, so you can check what is still outstanding without retracing your steps.
