The Land of Dancing Illusions is a short main story quest in Aniimo that sends you into Lumenfly Valley to chase down Sunia. It plays out mostly as a guided path with cutscenes, so there is no boss to beat here, just a barrier to open and a Flutternym transformation to use.

Quick answer: Light the incense at Lumenfly Valley to drop the barrier, Twine with a Flutternym-family Aniimo, follow the path deeper, then track the marker to bring Sunia back and end the quest.

How to unlock The Land of Dancing Illusions

This quest becomes available once you finish the previous main story quest, Fragrant Colors. After that quest wraps up in the Sea of Flowers, your next objective marker points you toward Lumenfly Valley, which is where The Land of Dancing Illusions begins.

You will also want a Flutternym-family Aniimo in your active party before you head in, since the valley section requires you to Twine with one. If you do not have one slotted, open the Aniimo management menu and assign a Flutternym to your party first.

Walkthrough

Follow the objective marker to Lumenfly Valley. At the entrance you will find a glowing blue energy barrier with an incense pot in front of it. Interact with the pot to light the incense, which dissolves the barrier and lets you enter the valley.

Once the objective updates, use the Twine skill with your Flutternym to transform into the flying butterfly form. You need this to move through the valley and follow the glowing trails inside.

In butterfly form, glide along the cave corridor and follow the path of glowing blue flowers and butterfly trails. Keep to the waypoint marker as voices and short cutscenes play, including Iris’s Dream. You can grab an Irisalis Petal along the wall on the way through.

A cutscene introduces Sunia and explains her faded colors. The objective then changes to Bring Sunia back. Fly further into the luminous cavern, following her waypoint marker as Velouria and Helion speak.

Keep tracking the target until you reach a huge glowing flower and a final cinematic plays, revealing Queen Somniwing. That cutscene closes out the quest, so you do not need to fight anything to finish here.

How to know it worked

The quest is complete when the Somniwing cinematic ends and a completion card for The Land of Dancing Illusions appears. The game then transitions straight into the next main story quest, The Land Where Dreams Come True, with the objective to talk to Snowy.
