The Unbegun Ceremony is a Chapter 1 main story quest in Aniimo that plays out during Bloomville’s Bloom Festival. It is a short, mostly narrative beat with two objectives, and finishing it hands over a large batch of Safari EXP along with crafting and progression rewards.

Quick answer: Talk to the Elder by the statue to start the festival, watch the cutscenes and speak to him again, then find Sunia on the map and talk to her to trigger the Sea of Flowers scene that ends the quest.

How to unlock The Unbegun Ceremony

The quest becomes available the moment you wrap up the previous main quest, Ceremony Preparations. That earlier step has you enter Bloomville, catch and Twine with a Dewy, craft a perfume with Sunia, claim the Bloomville-themed outfit, and rest at the Elder’s house before the festival begins. Once Ceremony Preparations closes out, The Unbegun Ceremony starts automatically at the festival grounds.

The Unbegun Ceremony walkthrough

Head to the festival and speak with the Elder standing beside the statue to begin the celebration. A set of cutscenes will play out. When they finish, talk to the Elder a second time to continue.

Open your map and travel to Sunia, who is flagged with an objective marker. Talk to her to watch the final cutscenes, where the group decides to set off for the Sea of Flowers. That conversation completes The Unbegun Ceremony.

You will know it worked when the closing cutscene ends and the quest clears from your active tracker, pointing you toward the Sea of Flowers for the next objective.

The Unbegun Ceremony rewards

Irisalis Petal1

The 600 Safaris are the standout here, since Safari doubles as your player EXP toward level and rank progression.

What to do after the ceremony

Finishing the quest does not immediately push you into the Sea of Flowers content. Before the next story step opens, you need to clear a few gating requirements.

  • Complete the required Elite Training – Chapter 1 tasks.
  • Reach Level 25.
  • Take the promotion test and advance to Intermediate Student.

The Chapter 1 Elite Training list includes catching an Eko and a Pomegg in the Forest of Falling Stars, defeating the area’s Alpha, Stellarys, earning its Bronze Collection Badge, and catching and reporting 30 Aniimo in total. Once you hit Level 25 and pass the Intermediate Student test, the story continues with the Dewdrop Crystals of the Sea of Flowers objective and the trip to Wally.

Collecting Lumin Amber and earning Collection Badges as you explore feeds extra Safari EXP into your level, which makes clearing the Level 25 requirement far quicker than grinding the main path alone.
