Tromber is Aniimo No. 008, a Support-type bird with the Take Off ability, and it is one of the few early creatures gated behind weather. You can walk the same beach a dozen times under clear skies and never see one.
Quick answer: Tromber only appears in The Argent Strait while it is raining or during a thunderstorm. Go to the southwestern coast, look for it perched on a rock in the shallows, and throw an Anipod Pro.

Tromber location: The Argent Strait southwestern coast
The Argent Strait sits inside the Breezy Plains region and is built for players around level 28 to 32. It is a coastal area, and Tromber sticks to the water’s edge rather than inland ground.
The spawn you want is on the southwestern island of the strait. Open the world map, zoom into that stretch of beach, and set your marker there before you travel. Tromber stands on a rock just offshore, usually with a few Chirpi milling around on the sand nearby.

Tromber’s entry lists its appearance rates by area, and the gap between them explains why the strait is worth the trip:
| Area | Appearance rate |
|---|---|
| 38% | |
| 9% |
Wild Tromber range from Lv. 13 to Lv. 34, so the one you find may be well above your own level.

Add to Google Preferences →The weather condition that makes Tromber spawn
Rain or a thunderstorm is the trigger. Under any other weather, Tromber is simply not in the spawn pool for the area, no matter how long you patrol the shoreline. The creature’s map tooltip states the condition outright, so you can check it before setting out.
Bring the following before you commit to the trip:
- Rainy or thunderstorm weather active in The Argent Strait
- At least one Anipod Pro, which applies a 1.5x catch rate multiplier
- Enough level to survive a level 28–32 area, since Tromber can reach Lv. 34
- Your map marker already placed on the southwestern coast
Time of day does not matter. A night run works fine as long as the rain is falling.
How to catch Tromber with an Anipod Pro
How to confirm the catch registered
A capture card pops up on screen naming No.008 Tromber, and the same card awards the Where Gulls Sing badge. That badge is the clearest confirmation that the catch counted rather than the creature slipping the pod.

At that point, Tromber is listed in your Aniimo party menu in Basic Form, carrying the Support classification and Take Off skill.
Tromber stats after the catch
Use the party menu’s Star Up screen to inspect Tromber’s model and base attributes. Catching it at Lv. 34 gives CP 894; Star Up adds ATK +10 and BREAK +10.

Because the spawn depends on weather rather than a timer or a quest, a failed run costs you nothing but travel time. Keep a handful of Anipod Pro stocked and make the trip to the southwestern beach the moment the rain starts.
