Ultra Instinct is the Goku-inspired moveset in Anime Ability Arena, the Roblox battlegrounds game from developer no dj khaled we the best. It swaps your fighter over to Goko, wraps the avatar in a white aura, and replaces your standard attacks with Divine Punch and Divine Beam. Unlike most of the roster, it does not simply appear once your Yen total crosses a line.
Quick answer: Buy Ultra Instinct from the character panel in the lobby, then respawn and select it. You are done when the alert reads “Successfully Equipped the Ultra Instinct Moveset!” and your character spawns with a glowing white aura.
Ultra Instinct cost in Anime Ability Arena
Ultra Instinct sits in the premium tier alongside Sorcerer, which means it is not handed out automatically the way Asto, Laffy, or Sukuno are. It has been listed at 519 Robux, and it has also shown up in the lobby carrying a 1,040 Yen tag. Prices move with updates, so treat the number on the character panel in your own session as the one that counts.
| Detail | Value |
|---|---|
| Moveset | Ultra Instinct |
| Character it equips | Goko |
| Premium listing | 519 Robux |
| Lobby price seen in-game | 1,040 Yen |
| Unlock type | Purchase, not a Yen milestone |
| Visual tell | Glowing white aura |
Note: every other listed power unlocks on its own once you bank enough Yen, from 350 for Asto up to 37,500 for Sukuno. Ultra Instinct is a separate transaction, so saving for it works differently from grinding toward a threshold.

Ultra Instinct controls and abilities
Every power in the game gives you four inputs, and Ultra Instinct is no exception. On a controller, the HUD labels them plainly.
| Ability | Controller input |
|---|---|
| Punch | B |
| Dash | Y |
| Divine Punch | RT |
| Divine Beam | LT |
On keyboard and mouse, the game uses one universal scheme across all powers. M1 is the basic attack, E is the light attack, R is the heavy attack, and Q dashes. The button positions never change when you switch movesets, only what comes out of them.

The dash is worth learning first. Ultra Instinct hands you two dash charges inside a five-second window, which is enough to close on a target and still have an escape left over. In testing, the light attack landed for around 26 damage, while the heavy launched an opponent into the air and cut roughly 43 health off the bar.

If Ultra Instinct does not appear after buying it
There are only two common reasons the moveset seems to go missing, and neither is a lost purchase.
- You bought it but never respawned. The game explicitly tells you to do this for new powers, with alerts like “You have unlocked Laffy, respawn to equip!” and “You have unlocked Naruto, respawn to equip!” The same rule applies here.
- You bought it but never selected it. Owning a power and having it equipped are separate actions, and the confirmation message only fires on the second one.

Paying for Ultra Instinct with Yen or Robux
Yen is the currency the game hands out for fighting. Every hit you land pays a little, and knocking someone out pays more, so staying in the mix beats hovering on the edge of the island waiting for stragglers. Matches run on 18-player servers, which keeps targets close.
If you would rather skip the grind, the Store’s Currency section trades Robux for Yen at fixed rates.
| Robux | Yen received |
|---|---|
| 20 | 400 |
| 35 | 1,000 |
| 100 | 3,200 |
| 320 | 11,000 |
| 640 | 24,000 |
| 879 | 40,000 |
One thing to watch while you are farming: the arena is a mountainous island with open water at the edges, and it is easy to overshoot a dash and drop straight into the ocean mid-fight. Ultra Instinct’s mobility makes that mistake faster to commit than most.

The roster now sits at 17 playable characters, and Ultra Instinct is one of the few you cannot simply grind your way into. If you are buying it, spend a few rounds getting comfortable with the two dash charges before you start hunting kills with Divine Beam, since the moveset punishes overcommitment as readily as it rewards aggression.
