Anime Expeditions, the Roblox tower defense game where you line anime-themed fighters along a path to hold back enemy waves, has gone full fire-and-brimstone with Update 3.0. The update carries the subtitle Endless Hellflame, and it dropped a burning new city, a competitive boss mode, a limited event, and a batch of characters built around damage-over-time. The in-game Update Log lays out the whole package, from six units down to a single new emote.
Quick answer: Endless Hellflame launched on September 25, 2026, adding six units, six equipment pieces, four skins, an emote, an accessory, the District 7 Boss Rush mode, and the Infernal Hunt event. You can play it now on Roblox.

Six new units in Endless Hellflame
The roster grows by six characters spread across different categories. Four of them come from standard summons, while two demand extra work. Crimson Captain sits behind a dedicated banner, and Fallen Angel is locked to a quest chain.
| Unit | Category | How to get |
|---|---|---|
| Crimson Captain | Moon | District 7 Secret banner (Infernal Dust) |
| Water Sage | Founder | Standard summon |
| Devil | Hero | Standard summon |
| Fallen Angel | Holy | Devil’s Request quest |
| Ignition Commander | Betrayal | Standard summon |
| Wild Card | Ace | Standard summon |
Devil, Wild Card, Ignition Commander, and Water Sage all show up in normal pulls, so building copies for evolution and ascension is a matter of grinding summons on the standard banner. Crimson Captain is the headline pull and only appears on the separate District 7 Secret banner, which uses a currency you earn from the new mode rather than gems.

The headline feature is Boss Rush. You enter District 7 to face Crimson Captain, a boss with 10 million HP, surrounded by six shut gates. You must break through the gates to reach the boss.
Each gate holds its own wave of enemies and a mini-boss to clear. Finishing a gate hands you a temporary card buff, such as Flame Range, Light Speed, or Dark Crit, that makes the final fight easier. You have to clear at least two gates before the game lets you trigger the boss, but the more gates you finish, the bigger your reward.
That reward is Infernal Dust, the currency spent on the District 7 Secret banner. Clearing only two gates pays out around 240 Infernal Dust, while clearing all six pushes the payout to about 1,000. The banner carries a secret pity of 300 pulls, so Crimson Captain is guaranteed once you bank enough Dust to reach it.
A clear screen confirms your haul. In one run, a two-gate finish returned 250 Sand Dollars, 240 Infernal Dust, and 70 Boss Rush Tokens.

Fallen Angel and the Devil’s Request quest
Fallen Angel is the other unit that takes real effort. It’s tied to a quest chain called Devil’s Request, which runs through the new Flaming Monastery story map. The chain starts when you talk to the Devil NPC standing on the street in Flaming Monastery Act 1.

Once accepted, the quest randomly attaches an Infernal Stage to any story map you play, so it can take a few runs before one appears. Clearing that Infernal Stage drops Torn Pages, the item the quest needs. Gathering 16 of them completes the chain and adds Fallen Angel to your collection.

Infernal Hunt event
Running for a limited time, Infernal Hunt appears in the events menu alongside activities such as Kitsune Bingo and Creator Spotlight. Bosses roam non-competitive stages; defeating them advances your progress toward milestone rewards.

Each takedown also drops Infernal Chests, which hold the event’s stack of resources. Those chests are the main reason to keep grinding the hunt while it stays live.
Infernals: the new stun hazard
Infernals are a hazard you meet in Boss Rush and in Infernal Stages. They spawn at random points across the map and slowly walk toward your placed units. If one reaches a unit, it stuns that unit and takes it out of the fight for a moment.
To stop that, you interact with the Infernal before it lands. A prompt to press E (“Put Out”) appears when you’re close enough, and clearing it in time keeps your damage flowing. It adds a small active-management layer to modes that were otherwise about placement and upgrades.
Portal upgrades, Mastery Stage, and the Draconic buff
Portal clears from Tier 1 through Tier 4 now guarantees a tier-up, moving you up one tier every time you finish instead of leaving advancement to chance. The exception is a Tier 5 Portal: its upgrade to a Secret Portal remains uncertain.
Flaming Monastery Infinite now drops a new Infernal Portal, opening another farming route for progressing through the tiers. Completing the new Mastery Stage grants fresh unit equipment.

On the balance side, the Draconic trait received a significant buff. It now raises unit damage by 20%, lifts DOT damage by 120% (up from 50%), and cuts overall unit cost by 15% (up from 10%). That makes Draconic a priority reroll for the fire-and-burn units this update leans on.
New equipment, skins, and cosmetics
Six equipment pieces join the pool: Angel Blade, Beacon of Pride, Fire Helmet, Ignis Restraint, Joker Card, and Burning Critter. Burning Critter fits the update’s damage-over-time focus, since a unit holding it makes the next DOT applied after a Burn deal 10% extra damage.
The update’s cosmetics include four skins, along with an emote and an accessory.
| Type | Name |
|---|---|
| Skin | Crimson Captain (Cyborg) |
| Skin | Lightning God (God King) |
| Skin | Prodigy (Future) |
| Skin | Stone Alchemist (Tribal) |
| Emote | Cheering |
| Accessory | Firefighter Hat |

Endless Hellflame gives newcomers and returning players goals to pursue, from six units to District 7 Boss Rush and the Infernal Hunt event. Crimson Captain and Fallen Angel require the most work to unlock: Boss Rush runs are needed to farm Infernal Dust for Crimson Captain, while Fallen Angel is obtained through the Devil’s Request quest chain.
