Anime Expeditions: How to Get Jester and Every Passive

Jester is a Season 2 Battle Pass reward that rolls between three weapons, and here is exactly how to unlock it.

Jester is a Season 2 Battle Pass reward that rolls between three weapons, and here is exactly how to unlock it.

Jester is an Exclusive unit in Anime Expeditions that cycles through three weapons in combat, switching between a Scythe, a Rifle, and a Mace to hit enemies in different ways. It is not pulled from a banner and it has no evolution, so unlocking it comes down to one progression track.

Quick answer: Reach Level 50 of the Season 2 Battle Pass. The Free track gives the Normal Jester at Level 50, and the Premium track gives the Shiny Jester at the same level.

Unlock Jester from the Season 2 Battle Pass

Both the Normal and Shiny versions of Jester sit at Level 50 of the Season 2 Battle Pass, split across the Free and Premium reward tracks. The pass stays available until the next update, so the deadline is the start of the following season rather than a fixed clock.

Open the Battle Pass by pressing its icon on the right side of the screen. This shows both the Free and Premium tracks and your current level.
Earn Battle Pass EXP by defeating enemies and completing quests. Each level fills as you gain enough EXP toward the next tier.
When you hit Level 50, open the Battle Pass menu and click the Jester reward on the track to collect it. The Free track hands over the Normal variant; the Premium track hands over the Shiny variant.

You will know it worked when Jester appears in your unit collection after you claim the reward. If the reward still looks locked, you either have not reached Level 50 or have not purchased the Premium pass needed for the Shiny version.

Shiny Jester, Premium pass, and level skips

The Shiny variant lives only on the Premium reward track, which you unlock by buying the Premium Battle Pass for 999 Robux. Reaching Level 50 on that paid track then makes Shiny Jester claimable.

If you would rather skip the grind entirely, the “+50 Levels” gamepass costs 4999 Robux and pushes your Season 2 pass to its maximum level, unlocking both the Free and Premium rewards at once.

How Jester’s weapon rolls work

Every passive and attack unlocks the moment you get Jester, since it has no evolution and needs no farming materials. The unit’s power comes from its weapon-swapping system, which is driven by a timed roll rather than manual choice.

PassiveEffect
Jester RollAt the start of a wave or after 20 seconds, swaps to a random weapon: Scythe, Rifle, or Mace.
ScytheReleases a Full AoE attack and adds 25% Damage. Normal attacks send a cone slash that travels past the unit’s range.
RifleFires continuously in a Line for 3 seconds, applies Bleed, and lowers SPA by 25%. Normal attacks are Line AoE and also apply Bleed.
MaceSpawns a clone for 15 seconds that rolls between Scythe and Rifle, then instantly rolls again. This roll has a 30-second cooldown.
Bored JesterTriggers when the same weapon rolls twice in a row. Cuts the Jester Roll timer by 5 seconds, adds 25% to the current weapon’s damage, and blocks that weapon from rolling again.

The Scythe is your Full AoE option, the Rifle is a Line AoE with sustained damage-over-time from Bleed, and the Mace turns Jester into a summoner by adding a clone that also attacks. Rolling the same weapon back-to-back is the reward case here, since Bored Jester speeds up future rolls while boosting the active weapon.

Where to place Jester in your team

Because the roll is random, Jester’s damage swings from wave to wave, but all three weapons remain useful. To smooth that out, position it next to damage-boosting support units. Placing it beside Kitsune and The Hero raises its output, which makes the AoE attacks from the Scythe and Rifle hit noticeably harder.

Note: There is nothing extra to farm after you claim Jester. Since it does not evolve, your only remaining decisions are trait and equipment choices, plus who it stands next to on the board.
