Six new units, the Tower mode, East Town, Auto Play, and a full event rotation arrived with the game’s biggest post-launch drop.

Anime Expeditions Update 1.0, named Warriors Saga, went live on August 10, 2026 after an extended maintenance break. It leans heavily into Dragon Ball-inspired characters and adds far more than a handful of balance tweaks. You get six units, a new endgame Tower mode, the East Town map, an expanded Expedition zone, Auto Play, and a stack of limited events built around free resources like Trait rerolls, Stat rerolls, and Gems.

Quick answer: Update 1.0 adds six units (Prodigy, Cubert, Bioinsect, Carrot, The Drink, and Vegetable), the Tower game mode, the East Town story map, the West City Expedition, an Auto Play system, and eleven events including Dragon’s Wish, Boss Bounty, and Guess That Unit.

Six new units in Update 1.0

Warriors Saga brings six units across three rarity brackets. Prodigy is the new Secret unit and is tied to the East Town story questline. Cubert is a Limited Exclusive earned through Tower progress rather than summoning. The remaining four are Mythic units, each with an alternate transformed version.

Unit (and alternate form)RarityHow to obtain
Prodigy / Prodigy (Rage)SecretEast Town NPC questline reward
CubertLimited ExclusiveClear 50 Tower stages
Bioinsect / Bioinsect (Final Form)MythicSummon
Carrot / Carrot (Unleashed)MythicSummon
The Drink / The Drink (Juicebox)MythicSummon
Vegetable / Vegetable (Prince)MythicSummon

Tower mode and how Cubert unlocks

The Tower is an endless mode built for endgame teams. It stacks floors with random resistances and splits into two separate progressions, Traits and Traitless. Each side keeps its own stage count and its own rewards, so clearing one does not advance the other.

Sub-modeHow it plays
TraitsUnit passives from rolled Traits stay active, which favors strong Traits like Primordial and Unbound.
TraitlessAll unit passives are disabled, forcing you to win through synergy, upgrades, and placement.

Clearing stages across either sub-mode counts toward milestone bonuses. The headline reward is Cubert, the Limited unit, which you claim after clearing 50 stages. The mode also runs seasonal leaderboards for Shiny units, skins, and titles, plus an exclusive seasonal unit.

East Town map and the Prodigy Secret

East Town is the new location, playable in Story, Infinite, and Mastery formats. It adds two new Quest NPCs, and finishing the full NPC questline unlocks the Secret unit. That Secret is Prodigy, listed as the Story Reward, so East Town is the priority stop if you are chasing the new Secret.

Expedition expansion: West City

Expeditions received a sizeable addition with the West City Expedition map. It introduces a new node type called Encounters, fresh building materials and upgrades, and a Payload Skin feature. The M.A.S.T.R.R. event has also been refreshed as part of this expansion.

Auto Play: clear stages while AFK

Auto Play is the update’s main quality-of-life feature. Instead of placing units by hand every run, you record a setup including unit positions and upgrade order, then load it at the start of a stage. It supports general and per-slot settings, and you can save and load presets.

You know it is working when saved units drop into their recorded positions and upgrade on their own after you load a preset, letting a stage clear without manual input.

Update 1.0 events and schedule

The update runs an eleven-event rotation. Dragon’s Wish hands out daily quests, event coins, an exclusive Wish Dragon mount, and a free Unbound Trait. Boss Bounty rolls a randomized daily boss with shifting stages, difficulty, resistances, and modifiers, and you can spend Gold to reroll for better payouts. Guess That Unit is a daily minigame with Normal and Hard difficulty that pays event coins.

New equipment, skins, mounts, and cosmetics

Between the Tower grind, the East Town questline, West City Expedition, and the event rotation, Warriors Saga fills out systems that were still thin at launch. Prodigy sits behind the East Town story, Cubert waits at Tower stage 50, and the biggest early decision is simply which reward track to chase first.
