Traits are passive modifiers that push a unit’s damage, range, cooldown, and critical stats higher. Each unit can hold only one trait at a time, so the value of a reroll comes down to whether the new trait outclasses the current one. Traits split into five rarities in Anime Final Strike, and you change them with trait reroll crystals.
Quick answer: Open Areas from the right menu, click Evolve, walk to the traits NPC on the left inside the building, press the plus button to load a unit, then click Reroll. The trait swaps instantly when you have crystals to spend, and it is assigned at random rather than chosen.
How to reroll traits in Anime Final Strike
Rerolling is fast, but it burns crystals quickly. If your rolls run cold, the pity meter guarantees certain Mythic traits once you hit their thresholds, so persistence matters more than luck.

You know a reroll worked when the unit’s trait label updates to the newly rolled trait in the menu. Because the outcome is random, you cannot target a specific trait directly, and the crystal is consumed whether the result is an upgrade or not.

The full pool runs from common Rare traits with single small buffs up to the Secret Emperor, which stacks damage, range, cooldown, money, and critical bonuses onto a single placement-limited slot. Traits carrying a placement limit of 1 can only be equipped on one unit on the field.
| Trait | Stats | Odds & rarity |
|---|---|---|
| Scoped I | +5% Range | 18.40% Rare |

| Swift I | -5% Cooldown | 18.40% Rare |
| Scoped II | +10% Range | 4.60% Rare |

| Cosmic | +8% Damage, -3% Cooldown | 1.65% Legendary |
| Fortune | +10% Money | 1.65% Legendary |
| Sharp Shooter | +20% Range, +5% Crit Chance | 1.65% Legendary |
| Onslaught | +15% Damage, -10% Cooldown, +15% Range | 1.43% Legendary |
| Dismantle | +25% Damage, -5% Cooldown, +10% Range | 1.32% Legendary |
| Flash | -20% Cooldown | 1.32% Legendary |
| Talon | +15% Range, +30% Crit Chance, +10% Crit Damage | 0.51% Mythic (300 pity) |
| Wealth | +25% Money, -10% Unit Cost | 0.47% Mythic (320 pity) |
| Frenzy | +50% Damage, -25% Cooldown, +10% Range | 0.37% Mythic (400 pity) |
| Berserk | +45% Damage, +20% Crit Chance, +30% Crit Damage | 0.37% Mythic (450 pity) |
| The One | +200% Damage, -25% Cooldown, +20% Range, +10% Crit Chance, +20% Crit Damage (Limit 1) | 0.30% Mythic (600 pity) |
| Emperor | +300% Damage, -25% Cooldown, +30% Range, +25% Crit Chance, +50% Crit Damage, +30% Money (Limit 1, Farm + 1 DPS unit) | 0.02% Secret |
Emperor is the rarest trait at a 0.02% roll chance, with The One next at 0.30%, followed by Berserk and Frenzy at 0.37% each. The pity numbers next to the Mythic traits are the roll counts at which those traits are guaranteed, so a long dry streak still ends in a top-tier result.
Trait tier list by stat value
This ranking weighs raw stat strength and how useful each trait is on a real unit. Emperor and The One sit at the top thanks to their huge damage multipliers paired with cooldown, range, and critical bonuses. Berserk, Frenzy, and Talon are the next best pulls, while Dismantle, Onslaught, Sharp Shooter, and Wealth shine on specific builds.
| Tier | Traits |
|---|---|
| SS | Emperor, The One |
| S+ | Berserk, Frenzy, Talon |
| S | Dismantle, Onslaught, Sharp Shooter, Wealth |
| A | Cosmic, Flash, Relentless III, Scoped III, Swift III |
| B | Prodigy, Fortune, Relentless II, Scoped II, Swift II |
| C | Relentless I, Scoped I, Swift I |
Scoped I, Relentless I, and Swift I are fine placeholders early on, but their tiny bonuses make them the first candidates to reroll away. The II and III versions grow more worthwhile as your units level up, and anything Mythic or higher is worth locking in the moment it appears.
Where to get trait reroll crystals
Reroll crystals drop from battles, but the fastest free stack comes from redeeming active codes, which regularly hand out trait rerolls alongside gems and stat engrams. Reaching a Mythic pity threshold takes hundreds of rolls, so stockpiling crystals before you commit to a unit saves a lot of grinding.
To redeem, launch Anime Final Strike in Roblox, open the Codes menu from the right side of the lobby, type or paste a working code, and hit Redeem. Rewards land instantly, and codes are case-sensitive, so copy them exactly to avoid a failed redemption.
Aim your crystals at a strong farm unit and a main damage dealer first, since traits like Emperor and Wealth reward that split directly. Everything else can wait until you have crystals to spare, because a wasted roll on an already-strong unit is a roll you cannot use on one that needs it.
