Anime Paradox lives or dies on roster choices. Resources are tight, evolutions are expensive, and sinking materials into the wrong unit can stall your run through Story, Raid, Infinite, and Siege. As of Update 3.5 (JOJO Part 7), the strongest investments are a small group of meta DPS units backed by one healer and one farm unit.

How unit roles and tiers work in Anime Paradox
Every unit fits one of three jobs. DPS units clear waves and burst bosses, support units heal or apply crowd control, and farm units generate gold so you can place and upgrade faster. A workable team needs at least one farm unit, one support, and the remaining slots filled with damage.
Rankings below assume each unit is in its EVO form with passives and actives unlocked, properly leveled, and equipped with strong traits. Some units are weak on their own and only shine inside the right team composition, so treat tiers as guidance for where to spend, not a fixed ladder.

Meta tier units (best DPS to invest in)
These define the current meta. If you pull any of them, prioritize their evolution and trait rolls. Most want Eternal so they can run as a single placement and reach full power.
| Unit | Source | Best trait | Why it ranks |
|---|---|---|---|
| Storrk (Resurreccion) | Banner Paradox | Eternal | Near full-map coverage that chases enemies, plus a Metralleta nuke that chunks bosses. Top pick for Infinite and Siege. |
| Megumo (Ten Shadows) | Banner Paradox | Eternal | Huge Infinite and boss DPS. Summons Mahoraga, who stacks damage reduction and damage as his HP drops. |
| Sukuna (Curse King) | JJK Portal Secret | Eternal | One of the best AOE damage dealers. Builds stacks, then dumps them, with a 1000% Domain Expansion nuke and team-wide damage amp. |
| Zid (Atomic) | Banner Secret | Eternal | All Range Atomic hits the whole map. Extremely tanky after EVO, so placement barely matters. |
| Sun Jin Wu (Monarch) | Raid Act 3 Secret | Eternal | Scales endlessly on kills with damage, CDR, lifesteal, and execute. Best in long modes; pairs with Igrus for speed. |
| Monkey King (Crowned) | Ragnarok Shop Secret | Eternal / Vampiric | Self-sustaining with auto-dodges and post-kill heals. Strong DPS, though the dodge can occasionally self-stun. |
| Bumta (True Love) | Banner Secret | Eternal | Very high base damage, easy 40% damage stacking, and a near-halving survivability passive at low HP. |
| Death Reaper (Souls) | Hades Dungeon Secret | Vampiric / Eternal | Stacks self-buffs when hit and barely needs a healer thanks to Vampiric and low-HP damage reduction. |
| Qun Sha Buang (Awakened) | China’s King Secret | Vampiric | Strong damage, built-in slow and damage-amp utility, and a reliable 250% anti-boss burst. Needs sustain. |
| God Slayer (Awakened) | God Slayer’s Domain Secret | Vampiric / Eternal | Elite single-target boss killer with bleed. Place him isolated so he doesn’t debuff stronger allies. |
| Arrogant God (The One True King) | Boss Rush Paradox | Eternal | DPS plus off-support with slows, debuffs, and cleanse. Synergizes with Earth’s Wanderer. |
| Earth’s Wanderer (Nature’s Perfect Form) | Banner Secret | Eternal | DPS and crowd control with 3-second chain stuns that refresh each wave. Great late game. |
S-tier DPS and strong alternatives
These are excellent picks just below the meta core, ideal while you wait on a top pull or to round out a roster.
| Unit | Best trait | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Igrus (Elite Knight) | Eternal | On-kill damage stacking up to 100%, plus heavy bleed. Doubles Sun Jin Wu’s stack speed when both are placed. |
| Brojo (Six Eyes) | Eternal | Best DPS/support hybrid. Slows, stuns, an AOE Domain stun, and full status immunity. |
| Ichuga (Vasto Lorde) | Vampiric | Solid boss damage from bleed on-hit, with a self-buff that also heals. |
| Kanbeki (Kajuka) | Vampiric | Counter-based self-sustaining bruiser. Avoid Eternal since duplicates boost his damage. |
| Arimo (Kajuka) | Vampiric / Eternal | Scales with every allied unit placed for damage, range, and attack speed. |
| Bumta (True Love), Maeto (True Form), Ito (Kajuka) | Eternal / Vampiric | Maeto applies a 20% damage amp; Ito is a low-HP attack-speed powerhouse with awkward proc timing. |
| Richy (LionHeart), Ishtor (Celestial Empress) | Eternal / Angelic | High-damage AOE carries; strong picks alongside or before Gilgamesh. |

Best support and farm units
Enemies chip your units every wave, so a healer is mandatory for harder content. Not every support heals, however. Some, like Ulquiarro and Kirrua, slow or stun instead.
| Role | Unit | Function |
|---|---|---|
| Support | Oreheme (Sacred) | Top pure healer with heals and shields to keep the frontline alive. |
| Support | Idol (Pop) | Large AOE healing plus CDR and damage buffs; amplifies your DPS output. |
| Support | Ulquiarro (Murcielago) | Slowing and fear control for wave management. |
| Support | Steel (Shadow), Akiko, Shadow Vampire | Shields, buffs, and crowd control including time stop. |
| Farm | Sprintcart | Best gold generator and the priority economy unit for early progression. |
| Farm | Bulla | Reliable backup farm unit when Sprintcart is unavailable. |

Best units for Infinite and Siege
Endless modes reward units that scale on kills, sustain themselves, or cover the whole map. The strongest options here are Sun Jin Wu (especially with Igrus), Megumo, Sukuna, Zid, Storrk, Qun Sha Buang, Monkey King, and Brojo.
For raw boss damage, Ichuga, Sukuna, Megumo, Storrk, and God Slayer are the standouts, with God Slayer best kept isolated so his debuff doesn’t reduce stronger allies.
Easy EVO units for early progression
If you are still building toward a meta core, several units evolve cheaply and carry early content. Kirrua, Asto, Melio, Itachi, Ciel, Megumin, Sky, Idol, and Steel are the most accessible. A clean progression order is to lock in a farm unit first, add a healer, then evolve your strongest DPS, and finally fill backup damage and utility slots.

Update 3.5 (JOJO Part 7) new units
Update 3.5 went live on March 22, 2026, adding Johnny, Valentine, Gyro, and Diego, along with two new Shiny units. These are still settling into the meta and have not displaced the established meta-tier carries, so existing investments in units like Storrk, Megumo, Sukuna, and Sun Jin Wu remain safe.
Tiers shift with every balance pass, so re-check your roster after each update before committing rare materials. For now, a single farm unit, one healer, and a stack of meta DPS with Eternal traits is the fastest, most reliable team to clear current content.
