Anime Squadron Best Units and Traits Ranked (June 2026)

The units worth building, the traits worth keeping, and where to spend scarce reroll resources first.

The units worth building, the traits worth keeping, and where to spend scarce reroll resources first.

Anime Squadron is a Roblox tower defense auto battler where progress depends on two things you mostly pull through RNG, your units and their traits. Getting the right combination matters more than grinding levels, because the wrong investments burn through Gems, Gold, Trait Shards, and Reroll Cubes you can’t easily replace. The roster sorts cleanly into damage dealers, supports, tanks, and a money unit, and a small group of them carry accounts from the mid-game into endgame content.

Quick answer: Build toward Gometa (SSJ4) as your main DPS and put the Superior trait on your best damage dealer. If those pulls take time, keep Fastwagon for income and Shinks for support running in the meantime.

Anime Squadron units tier list

Units are ranked on how well they perform across Story, Squadron, Raid, and Infinite modes. The list weighs raw damage first but still accounts for supports, tanks, and the lone economy unit that make harder content clearable.

SS tier units explained

Gometa (SSJ4) is the strongest unit in the game and the one to rush. His self-stacking buffs push his damage above everyone else, and his defense, HP regen, and dodge let him double as an endgame tank. To unlock him, evolve Goki to Full Power, then clear the questline for the Primal Core materials needed for the Gogeta evolution.

Woo (Shadow) runs on his Shadow Soldier mechanic and produces some of the highest raw damage available, which makes him a staple in long fights and Infinite Mode. He is a Banner Secret with a 20,000-summon pity. Madora (Gunbai) brings consistent burn and strong boss pressure across mid and endgame, and he is farmable from Ninja Village Squadron Act 4.

Shanron (Omega) is one of the most versatile units in the game, working as endgame DPS, tank, and support. The catch is cost. He is expensive to grind and evolve, so don’t rush him ahead of the three units above. You can unlock him through GT City Raid Act 4.

S and A tier units explained

Goki (SSJ4 Full Power) and Vegata (SSJ Full Power) are solid sub-meta damage dealers, but their bigger value is as required evolution pieces for the Gogeta quest, so build both regardless. Rizzuto (Sage) is a reliable DPS for most content without hitting SS levels. Shinks is the best support available thanks to a damage reduction aura and dodge support that sharply improves team survival, while Fastwagon is the only dedicated money unit and effectively mandatory because extra income unlocks expensive units faster.

Karashi (Sharingan) is the fastest mythic in the game and excellent for farming and clearing weaker stages, even when its damage trails the top tier. Shield Hero redirects damage and is the best general tank at every stage except endgame, where Gometa takes over. Rudaus provides cooldown reduction to nearby allies, which is niche but useful in specific endgame setups.

B to D tier units

Big Beard works as both a tank and a damage dealer early on, with higher DPS than Shield Hero even if Shield Hero tanks better, but specialists outpace him later. Mamosa heals, which helps newer players survive but loses impact once incoming damage climbs. Choi, Tranks, and Zaro are serviceable starter damage dealers (Choi and Tranks have notably good early DPS) that get replaced quickly. Shin and Igras are starter units with little use beyond the earliest stages.

Anime Squadron traits tier list

Traits can swing a unit’s performance more than a level upgrade. Damage traits lead the meta, but utility options like Cloner and Entrepreneur stay valuable because they lift your whole squad rather than one slot.

TierTraits
SSSuperior, Cloner
SEntrepreneur, Rebirth
ALethal, Sniper, Wealthy
BKnight, Juggernaut
CRanger, Powerful
DSight, Endure, Tank
TraitEffect
Superior+200% DMG, +300% HP, +30% RNG, -15% CD, +1 Spawn Cap
Cloner+40% DMG, +60% HP, spawns 2 units instead of 1
Entrepreneur-40% Cost, +30% DMG, +30% HP
Rebirth+35% DMG, +50% HP, +20% RNG, respawns once at 50% HP
Sniper+20% DMG, +40% RNG
Lethal+20% DMG, -10% CD
Wealthy-20% Cost, +10% DMG
Juggernaut+50% HP
Knight+20% DMG, +5% HP
Ranger+25% RNG
Powerful+10% DMG
Tank+30% HP
Sight+10% RNG
Endure+10% HP

Superior is the clear best trait by a wide margin. The mix of huge stat boosts, cooldown reduction, and an extra placement slot makes it worth chasing on your strongest carry. Cloner is the next target because deploying two copies of a top-tier DPS often beats raw stats. Entrepreneur and Rebirth round out the keepers, with Entrepreneur cutting deployment cost on expensive units and Rebirth giving a second life that shines in Infinite Mode. Everything in the D tier (Sight, Endure, Tank) should be rerolled off as soon as you have something better.

Match traits to a unit’s job rather than spreading them randomly. For damage and support units, Cloner or Superior give the most return. Farm units want Entrepreneur or Wealthy, and dedicated tanks benefit most from Rebirth. For gear, the Omega Gear Set outperforms individual Mythic pieces.

How to farm Trait Rerolls, Gems, Gold, and EXP

Beyond redeeming codes, several repeatable activities supply the resources you need to upgrade and reroll. The Raid Shop and the AFK chamber cover most needs passively, while timed challenges with Kakashi are efficient for rerolls and Gems.

ResourceWhere to farm
Trait RerollsRaid Shop, 30m challenges with Kakashi, idling in the AFK chamber
GemsRaid Shop, Story 1-1 Hard, 30m challenges with Kakashi, AFK chamber
GoldRaid Shop, Squadron clears (20/40 by difficulty), 30m Kakashi challenges, selling banner summons, AFK chamber
EXPRaids, Squadron, Story 1-1

If you are starting fresh, the priority order is straightforward. Secure Fastwagon for income, build Goki and Vegata toward their Full Power evolutions, and use those as the foundation for Gometa. Keep Shinks active for survivability, farm Madora from Ninja Village Squadron Act 4 as a free Secret carry, and save Shanron for later once your economy can support his cost.
