Anime Stars Update 2.5 Guide: Hero Passives and Codes

Unlock Hero Passives for 150 billion coins, farm the shards that roll them, and redeem the update's new codes.

Unlock Hero Passives for 150 billion coins, farm the shards that roll them, and redeem the update’s new codes.

Update 2.5 for the Roblox game Anime Stars adds a permanent progression layer on top of your hero roster. The headline addition is Hero Passives, a system you buy once and then feed with shards, backed by a new Shard Merchant, expanded Dragon Wishes, extra Reaper Trial ranks, and two fresh promo codes.

Quick answer: Teleport to the lobby, speak to the Hero Passives mentor, and pay 150 billion coins to unlock the system. After that, spend Hero Passive Shards to roll one of 11 passives, from Common up to Star rarity.

How to unlock Hero Passives in Anime Stars

Open the Teleport menu and select the Lobby. The Hero Passives mentor is not in the combat worlds, so you have to be in the lobby before anything else in this system becomes available.

Walk to the Hero Passives mentor and interact with the NPC. The “Hero Passives Open” prompt appears when you are close enough, which opens the passives menu.

Pay the 150 billion coin unlock fee. This is a one-time purchase that switches the system on for your account, after which the passive tier list and rolling interface become usable.

You know it worked when the menu stops showing the locked state and lists all 11 passives with their rarities. If the mentor still asks for coins, the purchase did not go through and your coin balance was short of 150 B.

All 11 Hero Passives and their rarity range

Passives are rolled, not chosen. Rarity climbs from Common at the bottom to Star at the top, and the tier list in the menu shows exactly where each one sits.

  • Gifted
  • Awakened
  • Prodigy
  • Chosen One
  • Transcendent
  • Forbidden Arts
  • Limitless
  • Star Sovereign
  • Astral Mastery
  • Star Barrage

Where to farm Hero Passive Shards

Hero Passive Shards are the currency for every roll, and they drop from combat content rather than being sold for coins. Dragon Raid is the clearest source to check first, since its reward table lists the shard drop directly. On Hard difficulty the shard sits at a 0.4% drop rate, so treat it as a long-run farm rather than a quick top-up.

Accept the participation prompt when it appears and hit Join to enter the run. Higher difficulty tiers are where the shard appears on the reward list, so an easier clear is not a substitute if you specifically want passives.

Shard Merchant stock and refresh timer

The Shard Merchant is a new lobby vendor with a stock list that rotates every 30 minutes. Purchases are made with Merchant Shards, which is a separate spend from the coins you used to unlock the passive system.

Note: because the inventory cycles on that half-hour timer, an item you skip is not guaranteed to be there on your next visit. Buy what you actually need when it appears rather than saving for a specific listing.

Dragon Wishes, Reaper Trial ranks, and other 2.5 changes

Beyond the passives system, Update 2.5 touches several existing menus. The changes below are the ones that affect how fast you progress.

ChangeWhat it does
Dragon WishesAdds a “+1 Concurrent Roll” wish, and raises the Champion Roll and Champion Slot limits so they can be upgraded to Level 4. The Osno Mount is among the claimable rewards.
Reaper TrialThree new ranks sit above the existing ladder: Royal Guard, Guard Commander, and Soul King.
Guild upgradesGuild power upgrades are purchasable from the guild menu, so progress carries across everyone in the group.
RankupsRankup 28 and Rankup 29 extend the progression ceiling.
Balance and UIAizen has been rebalanced, alongside interface cleanup across the menus.

Anime Stars codes for Update 2.5

Two codes are tied to the 2.5 launch window, and both hand out summons plus a potion. Earlier milestone codes are still worth entering if you have not used them, since rewards stack across your account.

How to redeem codes in Anime Stars

Launch the game and click the Shop button on the left side of the screen. Everything code-related lives inside this menu, not in a separate rewards tab.
Scroll to the bottom of the Shop window until the code field appears below the gamepasses and packs listings.

Type the code into the Insert Code box exactly as written, then press Enter or hit Redeem. Codes are case-sensitive, so capital letters and the period in UPDATE2.5 matter.

A successful redemption drops the rewards into your account one item at a time, and you can confirm it by checking your potion or summon counts before and after. If nothing happens, the usual causes are a typo, a code you have already claimed on that account, or a code that has since expired.

If you are coming back to Anime Stars for 2.5, the efficient order is codes first for the free summons and potions, then the 150 billion coin unlock, then Dragon Raid runs on Hard for shards. The Shard Merchant and Dragon Wishes upgrades slot in around that farming loop, since both rely on currencies you pick up while grinding anyway.
