Anime Story 2: How to Build Combat Power and Clear Tough Stages (Roblox)

The exact unit, upgrade, and Relic steps that raise your Combat Power enough to clear each world and challenge.

The exact unit, upgrade, and Relic steps that raise your Combat Power enough to clear each world and challenge.

Anime Story 2 is an incremental simulator where your progress is gated almost entirely by one number: Combat Power. Every world, challenge, and raid checks whether your equipped team is strong enough, so clearing harder content is really a matter of raising that figure through better units and steady upgrades. The fastest path is consistent, not flashy.

Quick answer: Level your best Mythic unit first, reroll its traits and stats, ascend any Legendary-or-above units to raise their level cap, and equip crafted Relics. Keep your Combat Power at or above the listed range for the world you want to clear, then run the stage.

Combat Power needed for each world

There are 11 worlds plus the Lobby, and each world has 7 stages tied to an anime series. Worlds unlock in order, so you must clear the current one to open the next. The ranges below are the estimated Combat Power you want before attempting a world, though you can often clear early stages with less.

WorldOrderEstimated Combat Power
Green Planet1st55 – 1.33K
Desert2nd2.05K – 6.07K
Double Dungeon3rd6.8K – 13.3K
Titan City4th14K – 18.8K
Beach Harbor5th19K – 33.2K
Gold District6th34K – 44.1K
Soul Haven7th35.4K – 50.9K
Realm Seven8th59K – 64.8K

Clearing a world’s stage on Hard and Nightmare difficulty grants extra rewards and counts toward achievement completion, so revisit earlier worlds for resources once your team outscales them. You can confirm a clear when the stage marks as completed and the next stage or world unlocks.

Build your team around high-rarity units

Units are the core of the game, and you can equip up to five at once. Rarity matters more than raw quantity, so spend resources on the units you will actually keep. Mythic units are the practical ceiling for most players because Secret units, while stronger, are extremely difficult to obtain.

Identify your single strongest unit and pour upgrades into it first. Leveling a weaker unit you plan to bench wastes currency you will need later.
Level every Mythic unit you pull, since those carry most of your runs. Useful Legendary options to hold you over include Levan, Flamingo, Spirit Brawler, and Froza until your next Mythic arrives.
Save Gems and roll on banners featuring the unit you want, because the current banner raises the pull rate for specific characters. Gems come from the story, daily and weekly quests, leveling rewards, and index rewards.

You can summon and battle directly through the experience on the official Anime Story 2 Roblox page.

Upgrade systems that raise Combat Power

Once you have your core units, the Upgrading area in the Lobby is where most of your power gains happen. Each system stacks, so work through them in order rather than chasing one in isolation.

SystemWhat it does
Reroll statsRe-rolls a unit’s base stats for stronger values.
Reroll traitsRe-rolls a unit’s traits for better combat effects.
Craft weaponsBuilds weapons that add power to a unit.
AscendRaises a unit’s level cap so it can grow further.
EvolveTransforms certain units into stronger forms using evolution materials.
RelicsCrafted and equipped to units to boost specific stats.

Ascending is worth your resources only on Legendary rarity and above. Rare and Epic units are cheaper to ascend, but the return is too small to justify the cost, so leave them out of your long-term plan.

Relics are crafted using shards earned from the final stage of certain worlds. Each shard maps to a specific Relic, which lets you target the bonus your team needs most.

Orange ShardDesertKunai
Blue ShardDouble DungeonElixir
Grey ShardTitan CityGrapple Hook

Note: Soul Haven and Realm Seven do not drop shards, so don’t farm them expecting Relic materials. The Green Shard also doubles as an evolution material for Vogita (Blue).

Earn units from Realm Seven stages

Realm Seven, the 8th world, is the first place where clearing stages can directly reward units rather than just currency, EXP, and Gems. That makes it a key target once your Combat Power reaches the 59K–64.8K range.

  • Stage III can drop Wrath, its shiny variant, and Nightbane, the evolution item for Wrath.
  • Stage VII (the last stage) can drop Pride, its shiny variant, and Dawnrender, the evolution item for Pride.

Because these drops are tied to specific stages, re-running them is the reliable way to collect the matching evolution items before you commit to evolving either unit.

Where to spend a strong team beyond the story

Once your roster can clear the main worlds, the harder combat modes give your upgraded units somewhere to push. These are the most demanding fights in the game, so treat them as the real test of your Combat Power.

  • Challenges, including daily, normal, and several infinite challenges, for repeatable rewards.
  • Raids, where you fight a powerful enemy to earn raid tokens that you spend in the Raid Shop.
  • Tower of Ascension, an infinite climb that pays out rewards as you reach higher floors.

If a challenge or raid wall stops you, the fix is almost always the same. Return to the Lobby, reroll stats and traits on your carry, ascend your Legendary-and-above units, and re-equip the best Relic for the fight. Raise the number, then come back, and the stage that blocked you should clear.
