Everything you need to unlock the Exclusive-tier Event Pass unit and how its Swordforce and Illumination passives work.

Everything you need to unlock the Exclusive-tier Event Pass unit and how its Swordforce and Illumination passives work.

Sword Hunter (Void) is the Exclusive-tier reward at the top of the Update 14.0 Part 2 Event Pass in Anime Vanguards. It arrived with the Extermination Event Pt. 2 content drop, and it is a limited unit, meaning it will not stay obtainable once the pass rotates out. Its design draws from Ye Shunguang of Zenless Zone Zero, and it is classified as a Video Games unit with the Passion element.

Quick answer: Reach Tier 50 of the Update 14.0 Part 2 Event Pass to claim Sword Hunter (Void). It is the pass’s final unlock and cannot be summoned from a banner.

How to unlock Sword Hunter (Void)

There is no gacha shortcut here. Sword Hunter (Void) sits behind the Event Pass, so the only path is grinding pass progression until you hit the Tier 50 reward slot.

Open the Update 14.0 Part 2 Event Pass from the in-game menu. This is the progression track added with the Extermination Event Pt. 2 update.
Earn pass experience by clearing stages. Runs that spawn a large number of enemies per wave push your progress fastest, and Infinity Mode is the most efficient loop for steady grinding.
Climb to Tier 50 and claim the reward. When Sword Hunter (Void) appears in your unit inventory, the unlock has worked and you can place it in any compatible team.

Note: Because this is a limited unit, finish the pass before the event window closes. Missing Tier 50 while the pass is active means losing access to the unit.

Sword Hunter (Void) base stats

Swordforce and Illumination explained

The unit’s whole kit revolves around building Swordforce stacks and then converting them in the Illumination state. Understanding this cycle is the key to getting real damage out of it.

Swordforce

  • Gains 1 Swordforce stack every 2 attacks.
  • At 6 Swordforce stacks, it enters Illumination.
  • Entering or leaving Illumination deals 300% of the unit’s damage to all enemies.
  • While in Illumination, attacks hit every enemy on the map, Critical Chance is buffed by 100%, it gains Overcrit, and it loses 1 Swordforce stack per attack.
  • Whenever it gains or loses a self-applied buff, it deals 20% of its damage to all enemies in range.

Illumination

  • Attacks bypass 40% of enemy Damage Reduction, and damage is buffed by 50% per Swordforce stack.
  • Enemies in range are hit with a 50% Slow.
  • Damage is buffed by 50% each time a Swordforce stack is lost, but that lost-stack damage is removed when Illumination ends.
  • Entering or leaving Illumination buffs the damage of all units in range by 40% for 60 seconds.

In practice, the unit ramps by attacking to reach six stacks, flips into Illumination for map-wide crit-heavy hits, then spends those stacks back down. The 40% team-wide damage buff on each transition also makes it useful as a support anchor, not just a damage dealer.

Stat Amplifier upgrade costs and damage

The Stat Amplifier path has nine tiers, from placement (level 0) through level 8. Total investment to fully upgrade is 94,700 ¥. The on-placement attack covers a 70° cone and lands 10 hits. SPA stays fixed at 8 across every tier, so all scaling comes from raw damage and range.

Sword Priestess Memoria

Sword Hunter (Void) has a specialty Memoria called Sword Priestess, which carries passives exclusive to this unit. It reinforces the same stack-spending loop that drives the rest of the kit.

PassiveEffect
Zen ZephyrAnytime the unit consumes stacks, it buffs its own damage by 50% for 60 seconds.
Zero (Specialty)Buffs its own damage by 300%, losing 50% for each Swordforce stack currently owned.

At Level 60 with D stats, the Memoria’s base stats read 9.07k. Because Zero scales inversely with your current stacks, its bonus is strongest when Swordforce is low and shrinks as you build toward the Illumination threshold.

Sword Hunter (Void) rewards active play. Keep it attacking to cycle in and out of Illumination, position it where it can build stacks quickly, and lean on its transition buff to lift the rest of your board. Since it is tied to a limited Event Pass, clearing to Tier 50 before the event ends is the one thing you cannot afford to put off.
