Anime Zero: How to Farm Materials Fast (Full Guide)

Where every crafting and evolution material drops, plus the drop-rate boosts that stack to speed up the grind.

Crafting accessories and awakening characters in Anime Zero both run on the same pile of materials, and the fastest way to collect them is to farm the right mode on the right difficulty while stacking every drop-rate boost you can equip. Each Story Act has a fixed drop table, Infinite Mode trades per-kill rolls for per-wave rolls, and raids hand out their own exclusive items.

Quick answer: Run the highest Story difficulty of the Act that holds the material you need, defeat the run boss, and stack Fortune, drop-rate gear, a drop title, guild perks, and the 2X Drop Rate gamepass for the best odds.

Plan your totals before you farm

Open the crafting and evolution menus first and add up exactly what each recipe asks for. Awakening Ye-0 needs 25 Fine Cloth, 30 Soul Fragment, and 50 Magic Pendant, and all three of those drop inside Act 1 on Nightmare. Lining up your target against a single Act means one lobby can feed an entire evolution instead of splitting runs across modes.

Story Mode drop tables by Act

Materials come from regular mob kills, but they’re yours to keep only if you defeat the run’s boss. Within an Act, each difficulty above the lowest retains the lower-tier materials and improves their drop chances. Fine Cloth, for instance, goes from about 2% on Easy, compared with 10.2% on Nightmare. Once you can clear Nightmare, farming there is usually the fastest option.

Pick the Act in the Create Lobby screen, then set the difficulty to the minimum that unlocks your target item.

To clear Nightmare quickly, pull enemies into a tight group and hit them with area-of-effect skills so one cast counts toward many drop rolls at once.

Infinite Mode wave farming

Infinite Mode rolls for materials when you finish a wave rather than on each kill, and each item unlocks at a set wave. Every 5 waves adds a +5% multiplicative drop bonus that caps at +50% from wave 51 onward, so deeper runs pay better. Boss drops only begin at the next boss wave after their unlock point, which on Nightmare means Waves Core first at wave 35 and Sun Core and Forbidden Fruit at wave 50.

Broken Blade, Eyeball, Cursed Finger, Soul Fragment, Tech Component, Magic Pendant, and Shinobi Scroll never drop in Infinite Mode, so farm those in Story Mode.

Stack every drop-rate boost

Drop-rate bonuses add together, so loading all of them before a run cuts the grind sharply. The sources below stack on top of the base rates in both Story and Infinite modes.

Fortune trait

The Fortune trait gives +20% Drop Rate along with +20% Coins and +20% EXP. It only counts while the weapon carrying it is the one you actively use, so keep that weapon equipped for most of the dungeon.

Drop-rate accessories

For a combined +25% drop rate, equip No Life King’s Shades (+5%), Blast Archer Wings (+10%), and Flame Pirate Hat (+10%). Put each accessory in its matching slot to get the full bonus.

Titles

Either Cosmic Warrior or Dragon Eclipse grants +10% drop rate, with Dragon Eclipse also carrying +20% damage. A title only applies its stats once it is explicitly equipped. Dragon Eclipse unlocks by killing 25 bosses as that title on Hard or higher without dying, while Cosmic Warrior unlocks by clearing a dungeon on any difficulty in under 3:00 as that title.

Guild boost and gamepass

A higher guild level adds up to +10% drops, scaling from +2%. The 2X Drop Rate gamepass costs 560 Robux and doubles the materials, EXP, coins, and healing you earn in runs, plus your Story trait crystal chance.

Raid-exclusive materials

Some awakening materials only come from raids, not Story or Infinite modes. Run them on Nightmare for the best rates.

Spirit’s Bathtub drops the Staff of Homa at a 25% rate with pity at 5 clears, plus Ghost at 33%, both used for the Flame Director awakening.

Shadow Gate can reward Monarch’s Blessing, Shadow’s Cloak, Zero Calories Doughnuts, Zero Calories Flour, Igris’ Crest, and Shadow Essence. A Red Gate has a 1-in-5 chance to spawn and grants 5 additional Shadow Essence, but its enemies deal 50% more damage.

Convert spare materials into rarer ones

If you are short one high-rarity item but sitting on a surplus of lower ones, the Convert tab in the crafting menu bridges the gap. It upgrades materials at a 5:1 ratio into the next rarity up, or swaps items of equal rarity at 1:1.

The chain runs upward through the tiers: Common items like Fine Cloth and Shinobi Scroll convert into Epic items such as Eyeball or Mana Feather, those feed into Legendary items like Soul Fragment, and Legendary items roll up into Mythic items such as Sun Core or Forbidden Fruit. Converting a large batch of common drops is often faster than chasing a single Mythic drop at the table.

Use Trials food as material wildcards

Food items won from Trials fill in for missing story awakening materials, matched by tier. They work only for character awakenings, not for accessory crafting or raid drops.

Confirming your materials landed

In Story Mode, your collected drops only register once the boss is defeated and the run completes, so quitting early forfeits everything you picked up. In Infinite Mode, watch for the drop confirmations after each wave finishes rather than on individual kills. When your inventory totals match a recipe’s requirements, the accessory or awakening becomes available to craft, and any Fortune, gear, title, guild, and gamepass bonuses will already be baked into the quantity you receive.
