Nomadic Crafting is the deepest of the three field-crafting skills in Arc Raiders, and it sits at the very end of the Survival branch of the reworked skill tree. Reaching it is less about finding a hidden node and more about pointing your levelling at one branch until the final choice opens up.

Quick answer: Spend 30 Skill Points in the Survival branch, then select Nomadic Crafting at the end-of-branch choice node, where it shares a slot with Road Warrior and Field Repair.

Where Nomadic Crafting sits in the Survival branch

At the end of every tree branch, a node presents three skills, of which you may choose no more than two. The Survival options are Road Warrior, Nomadic Crafting, and Field Repair. Spending 30 points in that branch unlocks your first choice; reaching 40 points lets you take another. Even if you complete one branch, you cannot claim all three skills, leaving one unavailable unless you reset the tree.

In plain terms, Nomadic Crafting widens the list of items you can field craft while topside. It is the third step in a crafting progression, and it only works once the two earlier crafting skills are already in place.

Build the crafting chain first

Nomadic Crafting does not stand alone. Two earlier Survival skills feed into it, and you will pass through both on the way to 30 points.

  • In-Round Crafting is the branch’s first node. It lets you craft items in the field while topside.
  • Traveling Tinkerer sits after the 10-point choice node and adds more items to your field-crafting list.
  • Nomadic Crafting is the end-of-branch pick that opens the widest range of craftable items.

Because you must have a point in the node before each one to progress, filling out the Survival path naturally carries you through both In-Round Crafting and Traveling Tinkerer before the end node is in reach.

How to unlock Nomadic Crafting

Open the skill tree and move to the Survival branch. Put your first point into In-Round Crafting, the starting node, so field crafting is enabled.
Keep spending points down the Survival branch, passing the 10-point choice node and picking up Traveling Tinkerer. Every point you add should stay inside Survival so the branch total climbs.
Once you hit 30 points in Survival, the end-of-branch node unlocks. Spend one point to select Nomadic Crafting from the three options. If you later reach 40 points in the branch, you can add a second pick alongside it.

You earn one Skill Point per Raider level, so the limiting factor is how many points you have banked. The skill tree was fully reset with the Frozen Trail update, which means every point is back in your pool and you can push all 30 straight into Survival from the start.

If you already spread points across other branches, you can reclaim them. A full tree reset costs 2,000 Coins per Skill Point, letting you re-pour everything into Survival and re-pick the end node.

You will know it worked when the Nomadic Crafting node turns solid green and the wider set of field-craftable items becomes available at your topside crafting menu during a raid.

What Nomadic Crafting lets you field craft

With the skill active, you can build the following during a raid:

  • Ammo in all four types: light, medium, heavy, and shotgun
  • Shrapnel Grenade
  • Grappling Hook
  • Zipline

What you still can’t craft

The skill does not cover everything. You cannot field craft the Camera gadget using it, and Defibrillators remain off the list as well. Even with Nomadic Crafting unlocked, Defibs cannot be made during a raid, so plan to bring those in with you rather than building them on the fly.
