Taking Stock comes from the Nomadic Envoy, Cassio, and it arrived with the Frozen Trail update. It is a travel-heavy mission rather than a hard one, sending you to Stella Montis, Spaceport, and either Dam Battlegrounds or Buried City before a final hand-in at Speranza. None of the objectives ask for a tough fight, but you will want your loadout sorted before you drop.
Quick answer: Pack a camera. Photograph the Atrium sculpture at Stella Montis and a Baron Husk at Spaceport; ping either a Bombardier at Dam Battlegrounds or a Bastion at Buried City. Deliver 3 Industrial Batteries to the Nomadic Envoy.

What to bring before you start Taking Stock
Accepting the quest hands you a Basic Camera as a supply item. That camera is the only tool the two photo objectives depend on, so it needs to be on you every time you drop in. An Advanced Camera works just as well if you already own one.
Slot the camera into your Safe Pocket so you do not lose it if you go down mid-raid. Equipping at least MK1 gear also makes the Stella Montis and Spaceport runs far smoother.
You must have three Industrial Batteries for the final delivery. They count as loot rather than rewards or drops, so you can collect them during runs for the other tasks. Any batteries in your stash from past raids count toward the requirement.
| Objective | Map | Action |
|---|---|---|
| Atrium sculpture | Take a photo | |
| Baron Husk | Take a photo | |
| Bombardier or Bastion | Dam Battlegrounds or Buried City | Ping one |
| 3 Industrial Batteries | Any Industrial POI | Loot and deliver |

Add to Google Preferences →Photograph the Atrium sculpture on Stella Montis
With the camera equipped, drop straight into Stella Montis. The Atrium sits toward the southern side of the map, on the upper floor near Communications and the Cafeteria, and it acts as a junction between several routes.

The room’s centerpiece is an unmistakable, oversized sculpture shaped like a star. Select the camera from your radial wheel, aim at the structure, and take a photo to finish the objective. ARC drones patrol nearby corridors; get the image before they can pin you down, then extract when you’re ready.
Photograph a Baron Husk on Spaceport
Across Spaceport, you can find huge, inactive ARC machine remains known as Baron Husks. One photo is sufficient. Bring your camera and start a raid on Spaceport.

Go to Vehicle Maintenance, then follow the south-western wall, a lengthy divider between the outer perimeter and inner zones near Container Storage. A husk is exposed here. Approach until it fits in the frame, equip your camera, and take a photo. After the objective registers, head to an extraction point.
Ping a Bombardier or a Bastion
Pick one of two options. You do not have to deal damage; tagging the enemy with a ping is enough, so you can mark it from a safe distance and leave without committing to a fight.
Buried City: Bastion
Buried City is usually the simpler choice. Its tight layout offers plenty of cover, and Bastions spawn more often there. Keep an eye on the road linking the Hospital and Space Travel Research, then check these locations:
- Marano Park
- Library
- The broken bridge near Piazza Arbusto
- Main Street
- Market Ruins

Dam Battlegrounds: Bombardier
Bombardier spawns on Dam Battlegrounds are more random. Reliable areas to search are the Hydroponic Dome Complex, the Primary Facility near the Control Tower, and the Water Treatment courtyard. Joining a metric or queen run can also bring one to you.

Collect and deliver 3 Industrial Batteries
Search Industrial-tagged points of interest for Industrial Batteries. They may appear as ordinary loot or inside containers and lockers, so check everything in these zones.
Dam Battlegrounds is a reliable choice for farming. Water Treatment Control, Hydroponic Dome Complex, and Power Generation Complex are all tagged Industrial. For a faster route, breach and search car trunks along the fractured highway from Generator Hall toward East Broken Bridge, collecting batteries as you travel.

With three batteries in hand, head back to Speranza. In Traders, choose the Nomadic Envoys, open the Quests tab, then press Claim on Taking Stock to submit them.
Rewards and what unlocks next
The quest finishes after the Nomadic Envoy takes all three Industrial Batteries and the completion screen shows. The turn-in pays out:
- 8,000 XP
- 2x Jolt Mine
- 1x Advanced Electrical Components
Taking Stock follows on from Clean Hands, and claiming it opens A Path Not Yours as the next step in the Nomadic Envoy line. Hold onto that camera, since the chain keeps pointing you back across the maps.
