Races in Arcane Lineage are starting modifiers with teeth. Each one hands you a different stat spread, a couple of passives that fire from level 1, and one or two racial actives that unlock as you level. Some of them are rolled at spawn with brutal odds. Others are locked behind covenant ranks and boss kills, and those are the ones that reshape a run.
Quick answer: Sheea is the strongest race in the game — four lives instead of three, ‑1 cooldown on every move, and a cleanse that also buffs an ally’s highest stat — but you cannot roll it. You unlock it by maxing the Church of Raphion covenant and defeating Seraphon.
Arcane Lineage race tier list
| Tier | Races | Why |
|---|---|---|
| S | Sheea | Universal scaling, extra life, global cooldown reduction, debuff removal. Works on every class. |
| A | Veneri, Corvolus, Inferion, Dullahan, Lentum | Best-in-slot for a specific build type, with strong level 1 passives instead of level 40 payoffs. |
| B | Vydeer, Daminos, Drauga, Vastayan, Stultus, Estella, Nisse, Human | Fully playable. Each one is good at exactly one job and average at the rest. |
| C | Amorus | Good raw stats, but the kit is narrow and it carries innate Holy and Nature weaknesses. |
How this was ranked: stat spread at level 1, how early the useful passives come online, how many classes the racial actives actually help, and survivability in long boss fights. Rarity was not treated as power on its own. This ranking reflects the game as it stands in September 2026.
Why Sheea sits alone at the top
Nothing else in the game gets a flat ‑1 cooldown on every move. That single passive rewrites your turn economy no matter what you picked, because it applies to base class skills, super class skills, and racial abilities alike. Add a fourth life on a game where death drains your run, and Sheea stops being a build choice and becomes a baseline.
The active kit is the rest of the argument. Skyward Bolt is available immediately and can blind, while His Incandescence strips a target’s debuffs and pushes a buff into their highest stat. Its 3 STR / 3 ARC / 2 LCK opening spread means it never fights your class the way an off-stat roll does.

The A-tier races and what they are for
Veneri is the DPS default. Enhanced Enchantments and the money-scaling damage buff are both level 1 passives, so it starts strong instead of waiting on Opulence Cutter at 40. Burst Trap punishes anything that swings at you physically, and the up-to-20% damage bonus from carrying gold rewards a playstyle you were doing anyway.
Corvolus is the mage pick and, unusually, a party pick. Holy and Magic power both get a 20% boost from level 1, Cast Amplify empowers a target’s magical attacks and shortens their cooldown, and Arcane Ritual at 40 puts an empowerment chance over the whole team. Fragile early, but it converts an Elementalist or Monk into a genuine damage threat.
Inferion trades safety for output. Cursed Race leaves you on two lives and taking 25% more damage from poison and magic, but Burning Soul, the stacking Demonic Presence bonus, and a self-revive every five fights make it one of the few races that gets stronger the longer a fight runs. Its 3 STR / 4 END opening is the sturdiest in the game.
Dullahan is the flexible one. Strong END and ARC, four lives, and Ghostflame plus Lifeless Skull as scaling Arcane damage means it slots into Hexer, Assassin, or almost any Arcane build without complaint. Lentum is the tank answer, with 2 HP regen every turn from level 1, poison resistance, a slime barrier at 40, and a blind-and-weaken effect on physical blocks that makes Paladin and tank Lancer far less punishing.

Roll chances for every spawnable race
These are the races you can actually land on at character creation. The rarest are not automatically the best, but they do have the deepest kits.
| Race | Chance | Core identity |
|---|---|---|
| Estella | 27% | Low-HP damage buffs and 30% true damage resistance |
| Stultus | 22% | Speed, dodge bar, crit chance scaling on speed |
| Nisse | 22% | Energy generation, double potion yield chance |
| Vastayan | 9% | Sylph summon with Arcane scaling, summon HP boost |
| Veneri | 7% | Enchant procs, gold-scaling damage, Burst Trap |
| Drauga | 6% | Crit lifesteal, Luck and Speed on kill, Illusion Cage |
| Corvolus | 3% | Magic and Holy amplification for you and allies |
| Daminos | 3% | Healing output, 4 lives, Draconic Aura self-regen |
| Dullahan | 1% | Arcane damage kit, high END, 4 lives |
| Vydeer | 1% | Dodge, damage reflection, energy on dodge |
Human is the plain option — a little extra energy and a small damage bump, with none of the drawbacks. It is fine, and it will never be the reason you lose a fight or win one.

Quest-locked races and how to unlock them
Four races never appear in the roll pool. You earn them, and no Lineage Shard will hand you one.
| Race | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Sheea | Reach Rank 20 in the Church of Raphion, then defeat Seraphon |
| Inferion | Max the Cult of Thanasius covenant, then defeat Arkhaia |
| Lentum | Complete the Slime King questline using the Gelat Ring, including 100 slime chunks |
| Amorus | Reach level 35 and offer Thanasius the required artifacts |
Amorus is the one to be careful with. The 3 STR / 3 ARC / 2 END spread is genuinely good and stun immunity is rare, but the passives add innate Holy and Nature weaknesses and the two actives, Sinister Gaze and Undulating Hex, are narrow enough that only Hexer really wants them. It is a long unlock for a race most builds will not miss.

Best class pairing for each race
A B-tier race on the right class beats an A-tier race on the wrong weapon. Match the stat the race feeds to the stat the class spends.
| Race | Pairs with |
|---|---|
| Sheea | Anything |
| Veneri | Impaler, Blade Dancer, Rogue, most DPS |
| Corvolus | Elementalist, Monk |
| Dullahan | Hexer, Assassin, Arcane builds |
| Lentum | Paladin, tank Lancer, Brawler |
| Daminos | Saint |
| Drauga | Assassin, Impaler, Luck Darkwraith |
| Vastayan | Necromancer, Arcane Darkwraith |
| Nisse | Monk, Elementalist |
| Stultus | Ranger, Lancer |
| Estella | Impaler, Blade Dancer |
| Vydeer | Squishy dodge builds, Ranger |

What recently changed: the Estella nerf
Estella used to be a quiet powerhouse for low-HP play. Its bonus damage was cut from 50% to 25%, and the automatic Hyper Rage activation was removed. It still works — Tense Up’s 30% true damage resistance and the permanent buff from Enduring Fighter are real — but it no longer snowballs a fight the way it did, which is why it sits mid-table now rather than near the top.
When to use a Lineage Shard
You will know it worked because the old character is gone and you start fresh with a different race assigned at spawn. The most common disappointment is expecting a top-tier result: Sheea, Inferion, Lentum, and Amorus are not in the reroll pool at all, so no number of shards will produce them.
Note: dying out all your lives sends you to Purgatory, where Born Anew restarts you for 125 Robux. A fresh character slot that does not wipe your existing build costs 150 Robux from the main menu.
The short version: is that only one race is worth chasing on its own terms, and it is the one you cannot roll. Everything else is a question of fit. Pick the class you want to play, then judge the race by whether its level 1 passives push the stat that class already spends — that answer changes far less often than the tier letters do.
