Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced Twitch Drop: Claiming Rufino's Pistol

Ubisoft is handing out a free in-game weapon called Rufino's Pistol to anyone who tunes into the Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced worldwide reveal showcase on Twitch. The pistol will carry over into the full game when the remake launches on July 9, 2026.

Quick answer: Link your Twitch and Ubisoft Connect accounts, then watch at least 20 minutes of the official Ubisoft Twitch channel during the showcase on April 23, 2026. Claim Rufino's Pistol from your Twitch Drops inventory within 24 hours.

Showcase start time: April 23, 2026 at 4:00 PM UTC (9:00 AM PDT / 12:00 PM EDT / 6:00 PM CEST / 9:30 PM IST)

What you need before the stream

Three things need to be in place before the broadcast begins. Miss any of them and your watch time will not count toward the drop.

  • A Twitch account with Drops enabled in your settings.
  • A Ubisoft Connect account linked to that Twitch account.
  • A stable connection that can keep the player running for at least 20 minutes.

Account linking is the step people forget most often. If your two accounts are not connected, the Twitch player will track your watch time, but Ubisoft will have no way to deliver the reward to your game library.

How to claim Rufino's Pistol

Step 1: Sign in to Twitch and confirm that Drops are turned on under your account settings. If this is your first Ubisoft drop, also open the Ubisoft Connect rewards page and link your Twitch account to your Ubisoft account.

Step 2: At 4:00 PM UTC on April 23, open the official Ubisoft Twitch channel and start the stream. The showcase runs roughly 30 minutes, so you do not need to watch the whole thing.

Step 3: Keep the stream playing for at least 20 continuous minutes. You can minimize the tab or mute the browser audio, but the Twitch player itself must keep running. Muting via the tab is fine; fully closing or pausing the player stops your progress.

Step 4: Check the Drops & Rewards progress bar under your Twitch profile icon to confirm the 20-minute counter is advancing. This is the only reliable way to know your time is being tracked.

Step 5: Once the bar fills, open your Twitch Inventory and press Claim on Rufino's Pistol. Do this within 24 hours of the stream ending, otherwise the reward expires.

Step 6: When Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced launches on July 9, 2026, the pistol will appear in your inventory inside the game, tied to the linked Ubisoft Connect account.

Common reasons the drop fails to trigger

If the 20-minute bar fills but nothing shows up in your inventory, one of these is almost always the cause.

  • Twitch and Ubisoft Connect accounts were never linked, or the link lapsed.
  • You watched a stream other than the official Ubisoft channel. Only the partnered Ubisoft broadcast qualifies for this specific drop.
  • Drops were disabled in your Twitch account settings at the time of watching.
  • The claim window closed. Drops must be claimed within 24 hours of the stream ending.
  • Multiple Twitch accounts on the same browser. Make sure you are logged into the one linked to your Ubisoft Connect profile.
🎧
Tip: Leaving the player muted through the browser tab works fine, but muting through the Twitch player's own volume slider can sometimes cause watch time tracking to stall. Use the tab mute instead.

When the pistol actually becomes usable

Claiming the drop on April 23 does not give you anything to play with immediately. Rufino's Pistol is a cosmetic sidearm that unlocks inside Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced when the remake releases on July 9, 2026. Until then, it sits in your Ubisoft Connect rewards queue, attached to the account you linked.

If you change Ubisoft accounts between now and launch, the reward stays with the original account you linked, not the new one. Link carefully the first time.
