The Halloween update for Asylum Life adds a mission called FIND 20 HIDDEN PUMPKINS. The pumpkins are spread across the patient wing, the staff sectors, the hospital, and a locked armory vault. Half of them can be reached by any player. The other half sit behind doors that only open for certain teams, and one only appears during an armory heist.
Quick answer: Collect ten pumpkins in public areas, switch to staff and Medical teams for nine more, and grab the last one during the armory heist. Then claim the mission in Jobs > Halloween.
Asylum Life pumpkin hunt rules and team switching
Each pumpkin shows an [E] Collect prompt when you get close. Hold the interact key and the pumpkin bursts into flames as it is picked up. The mission card lists the reward as 1,000 Candy. A few things will slow you down if you don’t plan for them:
- You have to switch teams several times. Patient, staff (Orderly, Janitor, Guard), and Medical each unlock different rooms.
- Most staff-area pumpkins can be reached on any staff team except Medical.
- You can’t change teams while an Infection Event is running. The event timer starts at about five minutes.
- The vault pumpkin only appears during an active armory heist, and the heist has a cooldown.
Infection Events fill the lobby with hostile infected players. If you die, you respawn as an infected zombie. You can keep searching patient areas during the event, but you’ll have to wait for the timer to run out before switching to Orderly or any other team.
Pumpkins you can reach on any team (10)
Start here as a Patient. You’ll get half the mission done without opening the team menu.

Lobby and painting area
Walk straight out of a Patient spawn room and you’ll be in the painting area. The pumpkin there sits in the open among the easels and armchairs near the reception office. For the next one, take the stairs on the right side of the painting area, keep right, and look for a room with a wooden plank over its window.
The Talent Stage tree in the central area holds a pumpkin at the very top. You’ll need to jump your way up the trunk. The second stage pumpkin is tucked into the leaves on the right side of the stage.
Dining Hall, Aven Suites, and Movie Theater
Take the Dining Hall stairs up to the walkway outside Aven Suites. The pumpkin rests on the stacked hay bales right next to the VIP Gamepass board.
Look for the Movie Theater by moving toward the Top Donators leaderboard beside the Dining Hall. In its dark room, a glowing pumpkin sits by the lounge couch near the entrance. Starting at the Dining Hall, head toward the Shop; the Patient Kitchen entrance is on your left, and its pumpkin is in the stove.
Patient Landing, Laundromat, and Garden
The vending machine pumpkin is in the Patient Intake building, the one with the gym, next to Personal Belongings Storage. It sits on top of the orange machines. Jump onto a nearby object first to get high enough to grab it, or stand on the blue mat in front of the machines.
In the Laundromat, use the lock near the trash cans to open a hidden door into The Dive lounge. The pumpkin is in the top-left corner beside a wooden cabinet. For the Garden, enter the Therapy area and take the first room on the left. The pumpkin is on the floor in the corner, behind the chairs.
Staff-only pumpkin locations (Orderly, Janitor, Guard)
Open the CHOOSE A TEAM menu and pick Orderly or another staff team that isn’t Medical. Your uniform changes and you get a keycard. That keycard opens the restricted barriers in front of these spots.

Lower Cubic is at the bottom of the stairs from Cubic Reception, on the way to the Patient Area and Medical Triage. At the end of the corridor, turn left and look along the wall. The cauldron is in the hallway near the UTILITY CORRIDOR sign. To find Maintenance Access, head to the Auxiliary Armory and walk toward the Staff Auxiliary Armory entrance. The room is on your left.
For the desk pumpkin, start at the Orderly Shop (the Ella NPC) and go out the door on its right. It’s near the main elevator. The watch tower entrance is on the hospital side of the patient area.
Hospital and Medical pumpkin locations
Switch to the Medical team for these. Any staff role can enter the hospital, but the Geforce Room needs high-level clearance.
- Outside Brain Scan: on a dark container just outside the room, under the UNDER CONSTRUCTION sign.
- Inside Brain Scan: hidden inside the MRI scanner tube.
- Geforce Room: behind the machine. Requires high clearance.
Secure Storage pumpkin during the armory heist
The last pumpkin is in the Secure Storage room. It sits on top of the gray lockers past the Staff Auxiliary Armory gate. You can only reach it while a heist is running.
How to confirm pickups and claim the reward
Every pickup triggers a fiery burst and an on-screen message with your running total, such as “You’ve Collected 7 Pumpkin(s)!” If you don’t see the message, the pumpkin didn’t count. Go back and hold the interact key again.
Once your total reaches 20, open the Jobs menu and select the Halloween tab. Choose CLAIM for the FIND 20 HIDDEN PUMPKINS mission to collect your Candy.
