Rematch Season 5 introduces Aura Striker as its featured event: a temporary, three-versus-three playlist channeling Blue Lock’s central “break your limits” theme. Instead of the game’s usual player-controlled goalkeeping and stamina management, it offers a quicker, more attack-minded pace, where a rechargeable boost can turn a match around within seconds.

Quick answer: Aura Striker is available in Rematch as a 3v3 mode from September 24 through October 23, 2026. The Aura meter fills as time passes and when you intercept; trigger it to gain more speed and shot power, then hit the AI keeper with powerful shots to stun it and clear the way to goal.

What Aura Striker changes on the pitch

The mode reworks several core Rematch rules for its month-long run. Matches are smaller, stamina is removed as a limiter, and goalkeeping is automated so you focus entirely on attacking and defending.

FeatureHow it works
FormatLimited-time 3v3 match
StaminaUnlimited for the whole match
Aura gaugeFills over time, faster with interceptions
Aura ModeTemporary boost to running speed and shot power
GoalkeeperAI-controlled; no player keeper on either team
StunStrong enough shots stun the keeper to create an opening

Because stamina never runs down, you can keep sprinting, pressing, and shooting without pause. That keeps the pace high and rewards constant movement rather than conserving energy.

Building and using the Aura gauge

Your Aura gauge charges automatically as the match plays out, and intercepting the ball speeds up the process. Once it is full, you can activate Aura Mode for a short window of increased running speed and stronger shots.

The boost is temporary, so timing matters. Activating it during a counterattack or in front of goal is far more effective than popping it in midfield. A single well-timed activation can turn a stalled possession into a scoring chance.

Stunning the AI keeper to score

Neither team has a player-controlled goalkeeper in Aura Striker. Both goals are defended by AI keepers, and a sufficiently powerful shot can stun one long enough to leave the net open.

The practical play is to fire a hard shot straight at the keeper to stun it, then follow up quickly before it recovers. Aura Mode’s shot-power bonus makes reaching that stun threshold easier, which is why the boost and the scoring loop work together.

Scoring triggers Blue Lock’s signature puzzle-piece shatter effect across the screen, the same visual flourish the anime uses to mark a goal.

Free rewards and the event pass

Everyone who joins during the season can claim a free Ego Boost Bundle, which includes a set of cosmetics and a player profile set. A free Event Pass also runs for the full season.

You progress the Event Pass by playing Aura Striker, Casual, or Ranked and completing challenges. Rewards along the track include profile cosmetics, a Blue Lock-themed ball, and a VR arena.

Blue Lock character bundles

Four Blue Lock characters get premium cosmetic bundles, each containing a full skin, a signature celebration, and a matching player card. A combined bundle packages all four together, and a standalone Blue Lock Training Pack offers the uniform without buying a specific character set.

  • Yoichi Isagi — the series lead and Japan U-20 number 11.
  • Meguru Bachira — the dribble-focused forward and FC Barcha player.
  • Seishiro Nagi — Manshine City’s talent known for first touches.
  • Rin Itoshi — Isagi’s rival and PXG’s top scorer.

Season 5 gameplay changes

Season 5 also brings tuning outside the collaboration. A stamina rework leaves exhausted players with weaker dribbles and push-ball moves, goalkeeper dives now offer more control between short and long dives, and there are adjustments to tackle contests and grounded volley cancels.

How to play and confirm access

You need Rematch on PC, PS5, or Xbox Series along with the Season 5 update. The base game runs about $29.99 and is periodically part of Xbox Game Pass. Once updated, Aura Striker appears as a selectable mode alongside Casual and Ranked, and the free Ego Boost Bundle and Event Pass become claimable in-game.

Aura Striker is a limited-time mode. It leaves the playlist when Season 5 ends on October 23, 2026, so claim the free rewards and finish Event Pass challenges before that date.
