Baldur’s Gate 3 console players receive mods in selected releases, and recent drops bring playable additions rather than just new looks. The in-game manager for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S gained two complete custom classes, a Warlock subclass, an enhanced half-elf subrace, and a goblin companion you can recruit; several entries show a September 14, 2026 publish date. A later release brought a different homebrew class, a difficulty-scaling mod, and a large batch of character-creator options.
Quick answer: Open the mod manager from the Baldur’s Gate 3 main menu on PS5 or Xbox Series X/S, sort by recently added, and subscribe to the mods you want from the Baldur’s Gate 3 page on mod.io. A few of them need dependency mods installed in the same session.
After subscribing, check the manager to confirm the mod is installed; the game will then ask you to reload your load order. Class and race additions become available at character creation or your next level-up, while cosmetic mods add swatches or presets to the character creator.
New playable classes on console
The class-heavy drops give console builds several fresh starting points, each with its own subclass tree and custom kit.
| Class | Creator | Subclasses |
|---|---|---|
| The Conjurer | Orhin1985 | 5 (Int/Dex hybrid) |
| The Pugilist | TheWailingBard | 7 (Moxie resource) |
| The Psion | Vexarias | 5 (levels 1–20) |
| Arcana | Lumao-xy | 4 |
| The Gunslinger | Ahdarugo | 10 |
The Conjurer stands out for its depth: this hybrid class uses Intelligence and Dexterity and comes with an extensive set of custom spells and summons. Choose among five branches—Traveler, Possessed, Agent, Pathfinder, and Spiritist—each of which affects your conjurations and combat style, making the class unlike a standard Wizard or Warlock summoner.
The Pugilist is a streetfighting class adapted from a 2014 homebrew. It runs on a resource called Moxie and leans on features like Fisticuffs: Back Alley Brawler and Iron Chin. At level 3 you pick from Bloodhound Bruiser, Dog & Hound, Hand of Dread, Mailed Fist, Piss & Vinegar, Street Saint, and The Sweet Science.
The Psion is a psionic caster that supports the full level cap up to level 20 and stays compatible with Mystra’s Spells. It uses Psi Focus points and Psicasting across Psionarch, Telekinetic Psion, Precognition Adept, Mesmer, and Cosmic Empath.

Arcana spreads across The Deceiver, The Eternal, The Starchild, and The Unbound, covering a trickster, a necromantic frontliner, a healer, and a mobile striker. The Gunslinger is the widest, adding firearms and early features such as Bite the Bullet, Blindsight, and Dodge Roll, with subclasses that run from Deadeye and Pistolero to Bounty Hunter and Gun-Ko Master. A companion Harlequin release also landed with Acrobat, Jester, and Torch Bearer branches.

Add to Google Preferences →New subclasses for Warlock, Paladin and Rogue
Three subclasses slot into existing classes rather than adding whole new ones.
- The Frozen Shadow is an ice-themed Warlock pact with its own cold-damage spells, cantrips, and Eldritch Invocations, including Umbral Smite, Glacial Rend, Rimebound Curse, Levistus’s Freeing Ray, Frostbite Blade, Flurry Spirit, Frostmaiden’s Kiss, Grasp of Stygia, and Shattered Will.
- Oath of the Noble Genies is a Paladin oath focused on elemental power, adding the Genie’s Elemental Weapon for 1d4 plus your Charisma modifier in bonus elemental damage over 10 turns, plus custom dialogue tags.
- Scion of the Three is a Rogue subclass that draws power from Bane, Bhaal, and Myrkul.
Race changes and new companions
The Astralborn Race is the outlier and not a subtle one. It adds a half-elf subrace with Pure-Blooded and Half-Human options plus superhero-scale abilities: Forceful Strike, Crush Enemy, Ground Slam, Astralborn Flight, and Brutality. Crush Enemy can land for as much as 600 damage, and the passives grant immunity to poison, stun, fear, paralysis, and domination. Custom Grand Overlord Uniforms come packed in a Uniform Crate.
DragonbornEnhancement helps Dragonborn hold their own in combat by granting more weapon and shield proficiencies, faster movement, and Devil’s Sight. Its separate Red Dragon subrace is considerably stronger, setting Strength to 23 and Constitution to 21. It also grants dragon breath and flight, plus the ability to become a full-sized red dragon that breathes fire and has 400 HP.
Sazza Evolved makes the goblin you can spare repeatedly recruitable, bringing her worg, Small Klaw, along too. She develops as a Gloom Stalker Ranger. To recruit her, fulfill the She Cannot Be Caged achievement requirements: free her at the Grove, free her again with Minthara, then rescue her once more at Moonrise. During Act 3, she appears in Popper’s shop. Pooldripp Evolved similarly adds a Kuo-Toa companion with water spells and a barbarian-style rage. More Origins lets you play the campaign as NPCs including Raphael, Isobel, Orin, or Scratch.
Gear and armor sets
Poisoner_Expansion addresses how sharply poison builds lose effectiveness in the base game. Its damage-type-focused equipment includes the Very Rare Earth Ring, Noxious Armor, various daggers, bows, and crossbows, as well as the Toxic Payload effect. You find these items as loot throughout play; they are not waiting in a chest at camp.

Cl_Way of the Storm does the same job for lightning monks. The five-piece set includes Stormweave Vestments, Stormpiercer Rings, Hood of the Gathering Storm, and Tempestwalker Boots, and it scales with your level while adding lightning damage to unarmed strikes. For broader loadouts, Armouries of the Allegiant adds over 300 lore-friendly faction armor pieces, and Gab’s Equipment stocks a debug chest with more than 100 balanced items plus reworked cut content.
Vengeance is the flashiest of the armor mods, a sleek dark set with a masked helmet and the dual scythes Absolution and Anathema, each carrying their own passive perks. Divinity: Original Sin 2’s Sebille’s Armor also arrived, modeled as camp clothing so it does not overwrite armor stats.

For pure weapon variety, More Weapons drops jousting lances, war fans, chakrams, kanas, and dark knight polearms straight into the tutorial chest.

Difficulty, encounters and gameplay tools
Dynamic Difficulty Scaling adjusts enemy levels and hit points to your party member with the highest level, sometimes gives enemies defensive buffs before combat, and may add Elite or Champion variants. Alternatively, an Enemy HP boost mod raises enemy survival pools by 250 percent for Honour mode runs. Traveling Merchant: Fade periodically appears as a friendly neutral vendor in the world every 38 and 76 minutes, stays for five minutes, and then disappears.
Cheater’s Menu heads in the opposite direction. It adds a castable class action that opens a categorized in-game UI for instant changes to party stats, gold, approval, spell slots, rests, and fast-travel waypoints, with options such as Full Heal, Free Respec, Gold +10,000, Party XP to Next Level, Revive Fallen Party, and End Combat (godlike).

Chaos and power creep are covered too. Homebrew Wild Magic gives Sorcerers and Barbarians a table of 30 effects, from summoning a Wild Magic Giant Space Hamster to a Necrotic Time Bomb you have to pass to an enemy before it detonates. Overpowered Feats V.2 sits firmly in cheat territory with 11 feats such as Overachiever, Annihilation, and Master of All, while Improved Feats takes the tamer route of rebalancing underpowered options. Autocast Daily Spells automates morning buffs: load a Bag of Autocasting and the chosen spells fire on their own after every long rest.
Character creator and cosmetics
Cosmetics make up the largest part of the additions. Crimson Hair Catalog places hairstyles in the Hair section; Electric Eyes contributes 34 eye colors to the Eye Colour palette as additional swatches. There are plenty of head options too: Sister Collection 2 supplies the Agnah and Honey presets for drow, elf, half-elf, human, and tiefling characters; Jules’ Head Boutique ports a large selection across races and body types; and the Elven and Vampiric Head Packs provide female faces with themed designs.
Luxperviance gives Shadowheart a new body texture featuring Selûne tattoos, hand-illustrated from official concept art, while Angel Photoshoot adds custom photo mode poses. For other visual touches, Ember’s Enchanted Instruments makes lutes and mandolins glow, Moonlilia’s Necrotic Nightmare offers a glowing green D20 skin, and a muscular Dragonborn body mod gives the race heavier physiques.
Quality-of-life fixes
Several smaller mods smooth out friction points rather than adding content.
- Minthara Auto-KO leaves Minthara unconscious rather than killing her, bypassing the most finicky part of recruiting her.
- No Temporary HP Effects Plus clears the glow visuals tied to temporary hit points and other buffs.
- Permanent Loviatar’s Love preserves the passive after death, so a revival no longer removes it.
- Tutorial Quick Exit skips the Nautiloid prologue, auto-levels the party to 2, and spawns you on the beach with the Everburn Blade and supplies.
- More Short Rests raises the available short rests from two to six, which helps short-rest classes like Warlocks.
- Eternal Trap Disarm Kit never depletes on a failed disarm, and a Warlock Multiclass Spell Slots Fix makes multiclassed casters consume Warlock short-rest slots first.
- Frog of War adds a novelty Wild Shape that transforms Lae’zel into a frog.
Dependencies to install first and how console drops work
A handful of these mods will not behave unless their prerequisites are in place. The Pugilist needs the AnimationUnlocking mod to work properly. Angel Photoshoot requires both Wings Character Customisation – WCC and Ardy’s Chest of Presents. Luxperviance replaces Shadowheart’s body texture, so it clashes with any other mod or outfit that changes the body model, and Sazza Evolved only pays off on a save where you have consistently freed her.
Without AnimationUnlocking, the Pugilist will not function as intended. Install that dependency in the same session, before creating your character.
Console additions undergo review before release, so they come out in selected batches rather than arriving gradually like PC mods. Earlier releases have contained around 15 to 26 mods each, including the Artificer class, additional Paladin and Cleric subclasses, a Rage Mage Barbarian, a Shadow Reaper class, romance alternatives, player housing, and higher level caps. The next batch has no confirmed release date. Before starting a character built around a custom class, install its dependencies, verify that the class appears in character creation, and then begin the run. Changing load orders in the middle of a save is a common way for modded playthroughs to go wrong.
